Nothing against Rohl at all, and he seems a good capable manager. But appointing him would just be so pathetic and unnecessary, and make a mockery of the rivalry. It would upset Wednesday fans? So what, don't care. It's not about them

I don't think the Pig fans would give a shit, they pretty much hate him now..

Heard that if we don't get a result this weekend Selles Is gone and Rohl has already been interviewed for the job.
From someone I know who has nothing to do with the United but he has one or two contacts in the game.
I'm just passing it on, hard to believe but. 🤷‍♂️
Heard same tbf. Bizarre, but apparently this sauce is fairly reliable.

Personally I don't have a problem with ex Wednesday players or managers,we've not done too badly with both in the past.

Would much rather take the oinkers current manager his results have suprised everyone
He's started well but I do think there's a defiance at the moment and the players know Pederson from under Rohl but I would take Rohl every day if we do change from Selles. I think Wednesdays results will be bleak once injuries and suspension hits and the novelty of these protests ceases. I'd still prefer Dave Challinor as I've said prefer but Rohl did brilliantly at Wednesday and is highly regarded from his time with the German national team.

yeah agree theres a spirit at the sty just now with the players and their fans against chansiri but once injuries suspensions and the inevitable 4pt deduction kicks in i think they will falter their very cocky just now with our poor start but i cant see any other outcome than them being relegated

That wasn't anything other than something that was so daft it was funny. If he comes - thats what we sing to him. He'll laugh.
I know i am only being sarcastic i would be alright with that appointment to be honest I think he is a good manager.

He’s a good manager, tactically switched on and clearly capable of motivating and galvanising a group quickly. Well connected and fits the profile they are obviously looking for. He also understands Sheffield and how the fans are in the city. Plus it would wind Wednesday fans up incredibly which would be magnificent.

I think he’d be a very, very astute appointment.
Apart from the empty brains giving you likes, you’re fooling no one 😂

'That's where I'm gonna go when I die...' No it's bloody not actually. Unless I die from Ebola and my body's riddled with it. If so, just drop me from a plane into the centre circle.

Make a mockery? You forgetting we had Danny Wilson Bromby Geary Quinns Clarke? All did pretty well for us I'd say, certainly didn't dampen the rivalry!

Personally, i don't really give a monkeys about whether hes managed SWFC before, or whether hes been given a silly but light hearted piss take of a nickname by Blades fans. I just care whether hes the right man for us right now.

That said, I don't want the guy as I think hes overrated by some and I wasnt overly impressed with what he did in his last gig. He did OK, he wasnt bad, but he looked so much better as he just did the competent stuff (along with his small army of coaches and technicians on the side lines) after replacing Xisco who was appalling. Jusy like if i stood next to the Elephant Man id look a handsome bastard, but in reality and every day life, im nowt special.

He wouldn't be the worst choice in the world to be SUFC manager (though hom going awol in the summer whilst his players trained alone, wasnt a good professional look), but i think we can get better. He's not for me, but then its not my choice.

It’s a risky monochromatic choice. Master stroke or embarrassing stick to beat us with. No In between.

I just don't think he's that good and certainly not a manager for getting promotion
Agreed. I think we've tried the inexperienced 'foreign'/continental manager and sacking Selles would be an admission that it hasn't worked. Surely if we're making a change it's because that style of coach doesn't work with this squad/club infrastructure. Therefore we need a different type of manager/coach.

To make that same mistake would be akin to keep picking Peck in centre mid on his own every week.....

Rohl has no more experience than Selles, if we’re serious about salvaging this season we desperately need someone that has been here and done it before, the only person that has that experience is Cooper
No he's not.
Dyche and Wilder are 2 others That immediately spring to mind. Your writing the narrative to suit your agenda.

I think that Mark Robin's would do a great job.

Success with Coventry (play-offs and Cup runs) with limited funds and also has loads of experience in and around the top end of the Championship.

Good at recruiting and developing young talent (whilst mostly having to sell on to balance the books)

No chance we buy him out of his current contract at Stoke City.

I think it very unlikely that Dyche or Cooper would accept the job as they'll be holding out for better - either a Prem club or Champ one with more money / ambition. As an aside, all those bemoaning the quality of football played last season and clamouring for Dyche, have you ever watched one of his sides play? Organised, solid but excruciatingly boring.
Rohl is as much of a risk as Selles IMHO and comes with the additional baggage of his previous role. Pressure would mount very quickly if he didn't get results quickly.
GON is a full-weighter and would be a devastatingly bad appointment - I think relegation would be a real risk if he was given the role.
That leaves either appointing another left-field Euro coach, buying someone out of their current role (which I wouldn't expect given the cost to get rid of Selles and team), someone recently sacked, e.g. Carrick or CW and I think there'll be far too much of a reluctance to swallow pride on all sides for that to happen.
One possibly to consider - I wonder whether Lee Carsley would be interested. History (albeit not particularly good) with the club, more a coach than manager (which may suit Bettis and the hierarchy), well connected and perhaps looking for a challenge beyond England U21s.

Dyche is in line to replace Amarin at Manure so that’s one off the list

If dyche comes in I think that would be it for me
I've been teetering on the brink of turning my back on the blades for a while now
Haven't been to a game this season having been pretty much a full time carer for the missus
Hardly went last season due to working two jobs
Maybe the disconnect physically has made me disconnected spiritualy but I don't know ..everything I read or see online around the blades just seems to get on my tits and the play off final was like a fucking car crash

Yeah I know ..I'm a fanny !
Frank your not a fanny, my missus is partially disabled so although I'm not a full time carer I still have to do certain things to make her life easier. There are also many many other family carers of all ages in this world who don't get full recognition for what they do.

Keep the faith and keep taking the piss!!!
