Take this for what it's worth because I'm not claiming to have any inside line on it, but after being around Shirecliffe today, there was a lot of chatter that was interesting

It was more around what happens to the current ownership.

Over heard teo blokes in Sheffield United jackets talking about the current structure may not permanent, and that conversations have apparently been taking place about bringing another party into the ownership rather than Rosen and Eltoukhy simply carrying on as they are.

There was even a suggestion that someone who has been involved with United before has been sounding people out about what is happening. Not saying it's McCabe or Prince Abdullah because I don't know who they were referring to. But the suggestion was that the people currently running the club may be looking at their options rather than fighting this.

One comment I heard was basically that "there's going to be a different name in charge before Christmas".

Could be complete bollocks obviously.

Take it with a massive pinch of salt, but thought I'd put it out there. Its definitely interesting.

Wilder would have walked if there was no sign of better on the horizon
No he wouldn’t

2am and the lights have come on in the night club, you see that bird you been chattin to for last hour and she’s fuckin honkin

But there’s no other gash around, last chance saloon - so you take her to chubby’s for chips an cheese to seal the deal as owts better than nowt.

It fits in, I remember the owners reached out to a firm recently for investment
According to AI

The most likely person is Keith Harris, the veteran football financier and takeover adviser.

The new 20 August 2026 Sheffield United report does not actually name him. It only says Rosen and Eltoukhy have approached “a sports executive and consultant who has previously held positions at City, Aston Villa and Liverpool” for advice while they search for investors.

But Harris fits that clue remarkably well:

  • Manchester City — Harris/Seymour Pierce was involved in the takeover by Thaksin Shinawatra.
  • Aston Villa — Harris represented Randy Lerner in his acquisition of Villa.
  • Liverpool — Harris advised prospective buyers in attempted Liverpool takeovers.
  • His speciality is precisely finding investors, buying/selling football clubs and football finance.
  • He has subsequently concentrated on a consultancy business advising and financing football clubs.

So my read is:

Keith Harris = very probably the more recent individual Rosen/Eltoukhy have approached for advice.

And that’s actually quite interesting, because Harris isn’t some random football consultant — finding buyers/investment for clubs is basically his specialist subject. The fact they’ve apparently gone to someone with his background would make me take the current search for new money more seriously than the older Penwick story.

I wouldn’t call Harris 100% confirmed until we find a source explicitly naming him, though. The August article deliberately leaves him unnamed.

Bizarrely despite being a bit of grifter, that’s what Kieron Maguire has been saying as well.

I never even considered he might return, but I saw McCabe in BP earlier

Will Keith Harris be bringing Orville into the club and if so will he play on the wing 🤔

It's Kevin Mccabe again then!? 😂

On a serious note I'd flipping snap your hands off at that right now if it was. I know it won't be but the stability we had with Kevin McCabe would be ideal right now.
