Ah, the answer of those without an argument

Always a pleasure trying to have a discussion with you, although I feel it would be more fruitful to read Shakespeare to a dog
You're not trying to discuss anything you're just slagging someone off for nothing. There's no argument. He charges for a YouTube channel discussing united. If people want to pay its fine. Hes not doing something immoral or conning anyone.

Quote this to most dogs and you’d get a favourable reaction.

“Sir, he's a good dog, and a fair dog”

Except for when he monetized the death of a footballer before the family confirmed it (immoral) and charged for insider takeover information he didn't have (con)

Just good ol’ fashioned ‘snake oil’
Remember kids, you don’t have to buy it! 🤣

People who pay Ramble for gossip are the same sort of people who phoned clubcall up 30 years ago to see if we'd signed anyone only to be told about changes to Pontins League fixtures and how delighted David Barnes is that GT News are sponsoring him this year. It's like an addiction to transfer news and believing that, next time, you'll get told something significant....

..and I have the £50,000 phone bill from the 90s to prove it.

I get the impression you are a subscriber.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - if it's in a blades shirt, he'll defend it. No matter how wrong he is, or how wrong the person/opinion he's defending is, he'll back them

I do find it amusing that people pay money to essentially join a Whatsapp group and get a few videos where someone says 'I have heard...or my sources are telling me!' As Roygbiv says it is like a modern day clubcall but back in the day there was not the internet and not the array of options to find information that there is now.

Surely if anyone smart enough who'd pay to join his Whatsapp group - you'd just set up a new group and add everyone to it for free? It's not really any different to the groups many of us are in (who discuss United with mates) but not sure why you have to pay to join? Of course Ramble might not be on it with his exclusive transfer news - Phillips done and Souttar done deals he said a week ago and would be announced Sunday or Monday 🤣

I am surprised people pay for content that is not really anything but clickbait and rumours. Fair play to Jimmy for exploiting a market and making a living out of it. I'm not sure you get much more than what is on forums or other sites provide for free really but each to their own if people want to pay, then credit him for making money from subscribers as there is obviously a market.

Nope not at all. Just don't understand the need to try and paint him as somehow scamming people. Its good we have lot's of united content I think we're quite lucky

I wouldn't say scammer, I would say a bit grifty though with some of the stuff he has done.

The Shoreham View was the best Blades vlog, no one else has got close.

Is lifting people’s legs with basically second Or third hand rumours, most of which don’t come to fruition, really “fair play”?

In 1993 I persuaded my mum to listen to the SUFC clubcall for me after I saw the clubcall headline on Oracle "Blades sign a star". She told me "they are talking about youth matches" then she didnt catch the name of the player we had signed. I asked her to ring again and ignore the news of the youth matches, just to get the name of the player. She then said "Chris and it was a surname I have not heard of". She called again and then said "Something like CAM A RA". I then realised that we had resigned Chris Kamara! The phonecall had cost more than the free transfer!

Maybe worded badly but its what happens these days and has done right back to those clubcall days. I used to be daft enough as a kid to pay for those expensive calls occasionally like Roygbiv

ShorehamView, Travelling, Sheff United Way, Bladespod, Pinch with all Roys pods and of course this website S2 which is superb etc all provide/d great stuff for free. I think it's poor to charge fellow Blades for basically rumours. ...but people choose to pay it. Noone is forcing them. There is clearly a demand. If he doesn't do it, maybe someone else does?

That's the thing - power to him if he's making money repeating stuff that is already out there and publicly accessible. That's when it becomes based off personality, and is why I watch a lot of the content I choose to watch - for example, I watch nearly every Tom Grossi NFL upload because I enjoy the content he creates, and the charity work he does yearly is genuinely inspirational.

If that was how Ramble was generating clicks, then no issues - but he isn't. In the past, he claimed to have ITK info about the takeover to generate money and views, which he didn't have. He then used the death of a footballer for clicks - I get the argument of "he's a fan, it was to get people together and mourn as a fanbase", but the video was monetised and the family hadn't even confirmed his passing yet.

Most recently, his claims about transfers where he has reported players being 90% signed without any evidence, and then crying wolf when called out for it, is just further down the rabbit hole. If you want to make this kind of content, you have to be reliable and accurate, otherwise you lose your credibility - and at the end of the day, if you're not credible people won't watch.

I'll caveat this by saying I don't like Ramble, which I think is pretty obvious. However I don't have to like you to enjoy your content - I enjoy thr content of people like Jontron and Internet Historian, people who I fundamentally disagree with and dislike - but you have to be credible and reliable to survive in this sort of industry, and Ramble seems intent on shooting himself in the foot at every turn.

I understand how Johnny's style of presenting would put people off but the production quality of his videos was outstanding. Easily the most professionally put together football YouTube channel I've still ever seen.

You’ve turned not liking someone into a personality trait. Anything related to the Blades Ramble, one thing for certain you’ll be somewhere sticking your big nose in 😂

Yes because how dare someone have an opinion!

I’m sure everyone has read your opinions on blades ramble ten times over now. You repeat the same things each time it comes up like a broken record! 😂

He’s gotten some things wrong in the past, it’s called being human.

So - because the opinion has been mentioned once, it can't be mentioned again?

Do you understand how debates and forums work?

And yes, he is human - but when a kid burns its hand on a stove, how many times do you stop them and correct them before you just say "fuck it, they're an idiot - burn away"?

I would not mind being in the position where we are waiting for the building blocks of the transfer chain to fall into place if Wilder did not try to mug us off.
Every year he tells us things will be different we will get players in early, they will have chance to get fit to our standards in pre season etc. etc.
But every year the same things happen
I would have much more respect if he were to tell us the truth which is we, like everyone else have to wait for the right players to become available at the right price be they permanent or loan.

Do not mug us off we have been here before and are slowly losing respect

I understand how forums work thanks. I’m just fascinated by how every thread that mentions blades ramble, somehow ends up being your autobiography on why you dislike him so much.

We get it, we really do.

Edit: Clearly don’t know how to quote someone though haha. NerdyBlade
