All football fans are welcome here, providing they are able to engage in mature and sensible debate, you may have to have slightly thicker skin, but if you come with the right intentions you’ll be treated like any other member. However, if you are joining with the intent of ‘winding up’ our community, your stay is unlikely to be anything other than very fleeting.
Rules & Infractions
Over the years we've tried to take a lighter touch to moderation, encouraging self policing in terms of acceptable use, stepping in mainly when someone overstepped the mark or went against the very few main rules we implied.
We've always likened the ethos to that of your local pub, we want people to enjoy themselves, but overstep the mark and do something that would otherwise get you barred or cause anger from the other patrons and you've taken it too far!
As the community has grown, we've found a number of individuals have from time to time taken advantage of this. We'd like to remind you that this community is provided free of charge for your usage at the owners discretion, some areas to note are as follows:
Rule breaking will be dealt with at the moderators discretion and based on an infractions system, it's important to note, that serious rule breaking and things like racism will result in permanent bans from the site regardless of infractions.
General guide to likely infraction points (per occurance)/consequences:
30 point accumulation - Temporary Ban
40 point accumulation - Permanent Ban
We will not be listing or publicly announcing infractions/bans, but may choose to add notes to particular content that incurred infractions in order to note particular breaches of the rules.
The majority of users of the site continue to fit in with the community and use it in the way that it's intended, we'd like to keep it that way without the need for over the top moderation. With that in mind, we'd ask and strongly encourage members to report posts or users that they see to overstep the mark and break the rules.
This isn't "snitching", it's simply assisting in the smooth running of the community and increasing the likelihood that things are noticed by the moderators - we don't and can't currently live on the site!
Reports will be dealt with consistently and without prejudice, the reporting member will not always get any acknowledgement of the report, but ALL reports will be looked at and dealt with appropriately.
