Well I am really looking forward to it, not least because Saturday is no less than my 50th birthday, a notable milestone. *Raises bat to all four sides of the ground*

Not just that though, I will be attending with my new woman, no less than the wonderful Helen who first met me at Toddington Services, picking me up on my way to Scunny just before Christmas.

The only other match she's attended was a Sunderland game, the team the father of her child supported, the now sadly departed Dickie Hammond (guitarist in Leatherface and The Toy Dolls amongst others). She slept for 90 minutes that time.

She apparently finds my watered-down Sheffield accent sexy so has warned me that she might not be responsible for her actions when surrounded by 4000 of Sheffield's finest. Tha knows.

Time for a second book Greenwich? I'm midway through the first one. Guessing that she wasn't the young runaway hitching home to Leicester?

I think t'owd Greenwich should save "gee'or" and use it as a secret weapon Sean.

Let's just pretend the match is over and the Blades have won, Greenwich walks out of the ground, arm-in-arm with his girlfriend, both smiling, she turns and says , "bet you enjoyed watching that!", then kisses him on the cheek, he pretends to start blushing, acts all shy and says "gee'or". Her heart melts. Job done!

Greenwich would always be played by Colin Firth. Love interest, Tuppence Middleton.

No, Rowan Atkinson would be better!

For anyone who's interested...

Went down t'Lane about 4ish this afternoon and couldn't get a ticket as all 3.8k that they had kept at the Lane had been sold (apart from ONE single seat).

I had to ring Donny to get hold of tickets for the Utd end - so I imagine the 400 they sent there will possibly sell out or nearly sell out...

Why did they send the rest of the tickets back to Doncaster rather than keep them on sale at the Lane until tomorrow?

I don't think even I've ever squeezed "Tim Smith" AND "Cardiacs" into the same post on here!
