If Selles goes, which I doubt is this week personally, then Rohl was known to be of interest to the board before they appointed Selles I seem to recall, have I remembered that right? I'm sure I read that the board were nervous in appointing Wednesdays manager from the fans perspective but I think the compensation may have been a bigger issue!

He was definitely interviewed before appointing Selles that’s why Bannan had a massive bust up with him. Apparently the board bottled it as it would just have caused too much chaos. I’m hearing that the decision to dispatch Selles has already been made but whether they go back in for Sausage or not I really don’t know.

He’s a good manager, tactically switched on and clearly capable of motivating and galvanising a group quickly. Well connected and fits the profile they are obviously looking for. He also understands Sheffield and how the fans are in the city. Plus it would wind Wednesday fans up incredibly which would be magnificent.

I think he’d be a very, very astute appointment.

When we first got linked it would’ve been hilarious to take him but imagine if he’d have just got the results Selles has. Would get zero time or patience even if he’s not directly taking over from Wilder. Probably best to swerve it.
