A Wednesday mate of mine actually rates Lavery and reckons he will do well for us. (He thinks Clarke is a lazy useless cunt) Pompey fans want him back especially if they managed to get McNulty back as well.

I thought there was a rule that had come out in the last few years for players who had gone through the youth system leaving a club. Calculated by how many years they had been there against how many games.

He hasn't player that many games for Wednesday and the rest of his games (not over 50 in total) have been at this level or below.

they should consider themselves lucky to get 50k for a player with probably less than 100 career games aged 24

These could all be made up figures that completely void my point, but it sounds like we have 800k left from the Che deal and the clear out/pay offs.
It was said that Lavery would cost us 300k, which is quite a bit to pay especially if there's a way to worm our way out of it in a tribunal, but we've got 3 working days left.
It might sound wasteful and hopeful in equal measures but just pay the money and spend the last 3 days hunting down a canter back with the money we have left.
