Is Lavery as good as I'm told?
I'd love Reed to go out on loan and get some experience .
 

Is it too early to write off Reed? Looked a very good player in the making under Clough, looked like a little boy lost under Adkins. Personally I would take the risk of letting him go with the chance of him becoming a talent at a higher level, our needs in L1 are more important right now than a player that could or could not become a very good player some day.
 
Gainsborough, you working for Wednesday and a Blade ? Must be difficult that. You must be involved with them high up if you know that sort of info ?

He sounds like a young Jamie ward to me, pacey,direct, could play on the wing but has an eye for goal. I can't imagine us wanting to play 300k for a youth prospect.
I think hes what we need, I'd pay it.

However you interact with all the academy staff when you are there so just asked a question of Lavery and thats what I was told

If you are passing on info that you maybe shouldn't be, and are a Blade working at the Wednesday academy (and have gone into specifics about who you work with etc), won't you be quite easy for them to identify?

I think his height isnt going to help against more aggresive teams so may forever be a bit part player at most teams. I really like him myself but Ben Whiteman might be the better prospect going forward

Instead of us loaning the pigs a player for one of there's why not let the player who's ours play for us and the pig stay with the pigs?

looks like opportunities are slim for Reedy under Wilder, IF a deal was to be made I think it would be one of our other academy players and abit for money for him
 
I also can't get around this 'fee' we would pay for him, he was made available on a free, rejected a new contract so that entitles them to compensation. So why would be have to bid for the lad instead of paying the compensation or just going to tribunal? Am I missing something?

He's been loaned out to a 4th division side.
We are not talking Progba here.

I reckon about 100k but the Pompey manager reckons it will be much more than that.

I think clubs like Pompey seem to be waiting for his birthday before they gamble on signing him.

think its 300k not sure if would rise if went to tribunal. Still a fair bit for a league 1 club even if it is us
 

This deal will be dependent on further outgoings IMO.

I wish we'd stop fucking about and just get it done but that's always too much to ask isn't it.
