The responsibility is on Phillips.

He chose to put his foot into the challenge like that when there was zero need for it.

Why would you ever raise your foot and go into it studs first at that height?

We were 2-0 up and cruising, it makes no sense.

And this is from a player who has played at a much higher level than anyone else on the pitch who should know better.
It’s all about opinions but I didn’t see him going in studs first. It was a strong challenge and follow through was therefore unavoidable . I certainly don’t think he went to ‘do’ him.

Are you watching the same thing?

Why would you kick the ball, follow through and then leave your foot up, stoods showing at knee height?

It's plainly obvious he did it on purpose.

The lengths some people will go to in a vain attempt to defend a red card for Sheffield United is astonishing.

Again, what are you watching?

No, the ball was loose for either player to go for. Philips did and was there first by some margin.
He didn't and said so. Watch the highlights
Loose? Get to specsavers pal 😂. He took the ball and followed through to the Wendy players knee, knew exactly what he was doing.

Some of our fans need to wake up. Two simple things, that are indirectly related and will make watching football so much more enjoyable for them:

1). Running round like a headless chicken showing pAsHUn doesn’t make you a good footballer
2). It’s not the 1980’s/90’s. What Phillips did today is a red card and has been for at least 25 years. Move on, you can’t stick one on a player or go through the ball anymore and haven’t been able to do for over quarter of a century.

You could tell it was their cup final with the players body language and effort put in. Also, for a "global brand" club,
there was a surprising number of empty seats in the "massives" end. You could almost believe they hadnt sold their allocation.

I’ve not seen the tackle or indeed any of the highlights BUT I do know that Inglesson is one horrific player, limited doesn’t even describe it (but he is spoken of as if he is the one player that is Championship standard), and also a cheating snide twat. So the fact that he somehow miraculously got up and carried on playing after such a career ending challenge is testimony EITHER to his resilience or to his commitment to the qualities I have just described.

Watching the same as you apparently and have a different opinion to you as per my comment.

He committed to a tackle and as such his foot is bound to follow through and up.
Wasn’t even looking at Ingellson after he got the ball.

Ingelsson is a truly dreadful football player.

Irrelevant to the fact it was a certain red card.

What does looking at a player have to do with a red card?

You honestly think you have to be looking at someone to foul them?

If he was looking to do him, it would make sense to look at him to see where he was aiming his foot maybe…?

Rather than following through a tackle and not bothering to look where your foot is going.

Christ - you have a different opinion to me, it happens pal. If I thought it was a clear red, I would say so. Doesn’t matter who he plays for.

5 red cards since January. Appalling!
This CONTINUED ill discipline under wilder will be ONE of the reasons why wilders contract will not be extended when it expires next year.

Red cards happen, it's part of the game.

Fair enough sometimes if it's two yellows or misdemeanours.

But the Rothwell one against Boro was horrendous.

And then today we get Phillips intentionally sticking one on Ingelsson.

We've never been a particularly dirty team under Wilder in years gone by but he should be looking at calming it down now.

I just share my thoughts and feelings. If you don’t like them/ disagree, feel free to mute me.
Fair enough. I've no intention of ignoring you, that's reserved for full weights.
Don't think I'll ever understand your mindset around the Blades though.
