And don’t forget their new current cheap ticket policy. £20 a match on the Kop , £25 on the North stand and £30 in their South stand.
Whereas we pay £38 on the Kop and £42 in the other stands for half our home games, for example against Watford, Derby, Stoke etc

For years members had a £5 discount off match tickets, this Wednesdayite administrator has recently increased the discount to £10 off match day prices.

I always thought the job of an administrator was to raise as much money as possible
But I reckon he’s lost SWFC £40K revenue by not giving us the bottom tier, like they do every other club.
Even with reduced prices there was still over 800 unsold tickets for the home end, the vast bulk in the lower tier.

I only consider League, League Cup and FA Cup fixtures to be relevant in derby games.
I make it 49 wins for us, 43 draws and 41 wins for them.
I have a 2004 edition of the "Head To Head" book by Peter Waring. The results listed in this publication take us up to the end of the 2002-3 'triple assault' season and the running total at that time is given as W42 D37 L37.
Since then I make it that we have won 7, drawn 6 and lost 4.
Three of those losses came in the two seasons following our relegation from the premier league in 2007.

Anyway, I think a couple of new Sheffield derby records were set today.
Firstly, I do not think any side had lost a Sheffield derby by as much as a 3 goal margin at home. Until today.
Also, I think their run of failing to score in 6 consecutive Sheffield derby league games (probably any games) is is also a record.

That's very strange.Most fans would think a 5-1 was more of a thrashing than a 4-0, possibly because scoring 5 goals is much rarer than scoring 4

It’s also slightly better for league placing (same goal difference but more goals scored).

Conversely, a 0-4 defeat is ‘worse’ than a 1-5 defeat.

So, ‘biggest margin of victory’ depends on which perspective you’re looking at - the winning side or the losing side. Since the record books are neutral in that sense, there’s no real difference. In the old days of ‘goal average’, a 4-0 win is better than a 5-1 win, so I guess that’s why they go with that definition.
