Dean smith and someone from Spain were mentioned last week.
I struggle to see why Dean Smith would be an option...

Would much rather get wilder and I think all fans would even the ones that don't really want him back.

Someone from spain.... hmm. Sounds great.

Back to wilder though get the wilder version up to his last season and even if we go down we have some oomph and chance at games. Get the 2nd season in Prem wilder and it's like what we are doing now.

I refuse to believe that Dean smith would seriously be considered.

Forget the pig bit - He took Norwich and Leicester down in consecutive seasons he would do nothing for us.

Hassenhuttl is the best option from that list someone put above.

Give it billy sharp with an up and coming coach as his number two
Someone like rosenior or mckenna but obviously not as advanced in their development yet

Oh Hecky! I really don't want to see him gone but maybe moved to a less exposed position.
He doesn't seem to be addressing our team's frailties.
Alway I've long been impressed by Mark Robins working on low budgets & getting teams playing cohesive football.
Hecky to DOF, with Robins as new head coach with some different coaching staff?

I just don’t understand how anyone can look at Dean Smiths recent record and think, he’ll sort this out. The same could be said about Wilder, but at least he knows the squad and they’re still playing his system.

If we don’t go for Wilder I’d be surprised. Not my first choice, but seems the most likely

Wilders record until our relegation is very good.

At Boro he did pretty well with them first season which wasn't a full one. Just tailed off at end. Then started last season poorly and was sacked.

Watford was a car crash already.

That's not really alot of blots.

Watford he took over a side in 12th and finished 12th.

They are now in a relegation battle without him. Seen a lot of Watford fans saying they wanted him at the time and that they really need him now.

I was mainly being facetious, but I just don’t like him, probably unfair :)
Yeah, I get it. He seems full of himself and has had major egg on his face after his two ‘big jobs’. I’m not sure I like Jones either.

But… he’s shown in the past how he can galvanise a depressed club (Luton), build an infrastructure and give them an identity. He got supposedly average players punching above their weight, playing with passion and uniting a fan base. I think he could be a good fit for us.

Of course, aside from his personality, there’s some major red flags with Jones. He failed at Stoke, but I think Southampton should have given him the first six games of this season. Russell Martin hasn’t convinced either.

Some managers need a second home. Harry Bassett was a prime example. I don’t think it’s inconceivable that Jones comes good again, somewhere else. But I concede his level may be Championship at best.

I’d rather roll the dice on Nathan Jones though compared to Dean Smith. I’m gutted for Hecky, I like him a lot, but he inspires zero confidence right now.

See now you’ve brought Dean Smith into things… he’s suddenly looking a lot more attractive

Dean Smith is one of them managers you look at and go "How the fuck does he keep getting jobs?"
Dean Smith has become this decades Alan Pardew. Did a good job at a Championship club, moved on to another and got them promoted before he then had a shot at the Premier League. Ultimately he failed but now keeps getting employed by people based on what he did at Brentford and Villa in the Championship.

I hear we’re after Kristian Vilda. Not much is known at this point except he refused to take off his trench coat, dark sunglasses and trilby hat at the interview.

I would like Ya Ya Toure as I think we need to go down the Kompany style route, especially as we have a lot of young and more cosmopolitan squad these days.

By all accounts did an amazing job with the Spurs U18 youth system then became the Standard Liege assistant manager this summer.

English managers to consider - Rosenior, Rooney and Carrick but would cost to get them out. Ryan Mason at Tottenham.

Wayne Rooney has left DC United. Not sure if he is what we need or would he even come but I’m sure his name will be thrown into the ring if Hecky goes.
