Personally I'm not convinced at this stage re Rosenior. I remember a similar reputation for Michael Appleton and I didn't think much to him neither and I was proved right with him. We'll see with Rosenior but finishing 7th with a very expensively assembled Hull team is not pulling up any trees to me nor his short spell at Derby.
Finishing 7th with Strasbourg is decent but I've no idea on the quality of his squad. I'm not thinking wow, let's put it that way. I keep saying how much I'm impressed with Dave Challinor but because he's at Stockport he's low profile but his achievements are very impressive with several different clubs. Seven promotions with four clubs, he's got an average win percentage of 53% and he's been manager of the year 4 times. It's quite similar to what Wilder has achieved at his stage if his career but with more promotions.
Or you can have Ruben Selles or Gary O'Neil who have no promotions between them, no manager of the year awards, and four years management experience between them. But they're likely to say yes to the board. The last bit is cynical but I'm not impressed with the boards actions to say the least of late.
Sean Dyche, like him or not, has to be considered but he won't because he's not seen as progressive. He wins football matches though.
Personally I'd still stick with Wilder just in case I've not said that today!
