One of them games where nothing bounced for us.

In fact I’ve just watched the match highlights and all 3 of their goals were really lucky regards the ball bouncing for them during the buildups.

Terrible start going behind to an early goal then Hull had fantastic tactics, defend in numbers then rely on odd break.
Similiar to the 1st half against Swansea, we looked disjointed, midfield struggled, especially Burrows again, Cannon totally isolated not touching the ball.

2nd half, as expected much better. We had Hull rocking a bit and if Campbell goal had counted we would have probably gone on to win.
We huffed and puffed but Hull defended really well, brilliant tactics. Their XG was only about 0.4, meaning they hardly created any chances but they somehow managed to score 3 goals.

Negatives
1: Midfield really struggled, not strong enough and no creativity, just shows how we missed Hamer.
2: Hull always looked like they had an extra man, every time loose ball or ricochet always seemed to go to their player.
3: `Gilchriest had a stinker, Burrows again poor in midfield, Peck worked hard but always struggled to clear the 1st man when taking corners.

Positives
1: Tyrese `Campbell again looked different class when he came on as sub.
2: Brewster again had a hard working tidy game. O’Hare worked hard as usual. Vini Souza showed calmness and little touches of class every now and again.

I’ll take a clueless manager who’s won more points than any other team this season all day long. I’m sure he would have loved to play square pegs in square holes but if people can’t see that his hand is being forced by injury and lack of squad depth it’s pretty sad.
This is when the team need us behind them and thank God we’ve got a manager who consistently overcomes adversity.
Let's see how that plays out. Oh wait, we actually have. When he ran off with the face on after spunking a boat load of money on shite and refused to accept any part in the meltdown. Then went on to do fuck all at TWO other clubs. Then came back here and made absolutely fuck all difference in running out another historically bad PL effort.

We'll be reet. Jonjoe at right back and Burrows back to left. Hamer returns and Vini starting will be a good nucleus. Davies returning in 2 wks (give Peck a rest) and BBD/Cannon bedding in and having a full week training with the team.

We aren't going to create chances playing wide players that can't or won't cross. Anel and Robinson at the cb massively worries me. They don't work together at all.

Tonight, hull players have out worked us and won every 50/50.
Those wide players can't cross coz they are feckin inverted , which is feckin scandalous - Brooks can't play on R so swap him & Diaz over FFS
We are NOT Man City
We are so easy to defend against, just stay compact and shut off the middle

Nobody who watches us without Wilder goggles on would have been batting hard for that
We’ve lost one so the haters are out again. It blows my mind that so called fans can’t judge the manager and team in the context of the challenges we’re facing. That was our 3rd game in 6 days… we’d lost Hamer to suspension. Peck is our only fully fit central midfielder. Players are coming back from injury but nowhere near match fit. BBD needs games to get sharp. Cannon and BBD have had one training session with the squad. Players like O Hare are obviously desperate for a rest.
We’ve not yet replaced our most dominant defender.
I could go on and on … but to those fans with an anti-Wilder agenda it’s pointless because they don’t (or don’t want to) judge him fairly.
Chances are we’ll still be top 2 on Monday.
Get behind the lads for Gods sake.

That result 0-3 is a true reflction on Wilder as a manager
We hav being getting evrything wrong in teerms of team operation all season.
The sam imbecilc crap that destroyed us evry wek last season
Sick of listing all the fundaments hhe gts wrong.
I expected us to struggle to get out of the bottom 3
But this is the worse second divisiopn there has ever been and the quality of the playrs saw us keep winning.
It cannot last in any field.
You MUST get the fundamentals right to get the correct outcomes consistently.
No team will fear us with th impotent eunoch OHare as a striker with Brewster and Diaz wasted deep on the wings.
No one will fear us with endlss P ing about at the back. They love it and will pick us off if the want.
No one will fear us with dangerous left wingeres Jesus and Brookes disabled playing wide on the right.
It has to be Wilder out asap and a big dfendr to replace Sooty a priority.
But #ManagersareMorons so who is available who is desirable?
We would be a major foircs now with our academy utilized not wasted if w had got Howe in as I wanted last time Wildr walked out.
Who next now to take us forward - and I mean forward as I hav NEVR sen a team make so many passes backwards as undr this clown Wilder and his 'pass and control' insanity.
Put the ale down matey

10 points from 7. That's not play off form.

Wrong starting line up
Wrong tactics
£23m of talent and thumped 0-3
Can’t just keep grinding results out

And there appears little so far that he will be replaced. THAT is the problem.

post match interview. Wilder never mentioned that lack lustre 1st half performance. Set the stall it was fucking dog shit. Manger’s at fault with this one.

Very quick to try and move it along when it's him who's at fault

Been coming with injuries and no midfield. Got away with it at Swansea. Was surprised no changes at half time so think Souza must still not be quite right. Gilchrist had a shocker and think burrows in CM knocked his confidence. When the 3 came on we looked much better. If the equaliser stood and their 2nd ruled out for offside, it could easily have been another Swansea turnaround. On a positive, didn’t looking like anymore injuries and had some returning and getting minutes. Need to get a CM and a CB though.

Disjointed 1st half when the midfield couldn’t assert itself……altho to be fair they blocked everything off and defended really well.

Second half, as expected we were better and could have won……but were unlucky.
Our XG was 1.19 and their XG was a lowly 0.46.

Basically they hardly created any chances but amazingly still managed to score 3 goals…
Just one of them nights when the ball always seemed to fall for them.

Wilder also said, 1,2, stroke 3 more in by Derby. Someone having a medical tomorrow. Look, tonight was shit, we all know that, but let me ask you seriously, did any of us expect to be anywhere near the top three this season, as the season started in August???

10 points from 7. That's not play off form.
That period saw us lose Campbell, Souttar and Souza - arguably our best three players. Given how stretched we were I was delighted to be still in the top 2 after that run of games.

In some peoples opinions he's out performing expectations,. but that team is nowhere near as bad as most have made out to be. We've been playing an awful style all season that was always asking for trouble. Creating very little and being heavily reliant on last ditch defending.
Shut Up !

I'm one of those that tend to be critical. I'm 72, retired, and I think of SUFC all day. I am totally invested in my team and my club.

I get that some of us are deemed to 'whingers' but we all need to take a dose of reality. I want my team to win every game, win every title, win every cup, etc

I also have the right to criticize playing style. Our style and technical game plan is based on ball possession. That's fine but, as we all know, ball possession needs to be turned into creativity and penetration.

For us, that barely happens and tonight it caught up with us. The number of times we played ball possession across our defensive line and then back to Cooper was ridiculous and stopped our forward play. We signed a CF, decided to play him, and then never got the ball to him because we were incapable of doing that.

Why did we start Cannon when our tactic was ball possession. I simply don't get it.

That's the complaint from us complainers. Its been like this all season and we got away with it but today we were out-coached, out-thought, and all Hull had to do was to put 11 players behind the ball and protect their goal.

If we continue to play this way, we will never get BBD or Cannon on the ball so why buy them? Shouldn't we change the tactics to accommodate these players? Today we did not. That's why I am frustrated.

I think I need a break from this!

such a frustrating game as we started both halves great. 1st we were fantastic 1st 30 mins, very dominant hull struggled to get out their half. but then we struggled & by the end of the 1st looked abit clueless on how to break hull down

for large parts i still thought 1 goal & we would win that game. 1 goal would be bring 2 or 3 gilchrist boots it that stayed 0-0 it was such weak pass. that led to goal. couldn't have laid it off any better to hull goalscorer. we win that game & if campbell's goal that shouldnt ruled have been offside. we get it back to 1-1. we win that game

but defending for all 3 goals was woeful. & credit to hull they took their chances & we didn't. we got into great positions & barely tested their goalie. but we are well expierenced in promotion races that shock results happen & it doesn't derail our bid

Why did I get so excited this week!!!
Don't do that
Don't ever do that
No matter how well things might seem to be going for United, it only ever seems that way, they'll always find a way to screw it up.

The whole system has been built on giving nothing away, grabbing a goal and continuing to give nothing away, if we manage to get another goal late on, great, that's it game over.
But half the time we haven't got that breathing space, so every game is bite your nails, heart attack time with absolutely zero entertainment despite having some of the most entertaining players in the division.

We're now finding out what slow, backwards, sideways, slow, boring, sideways, backwards, slow, mind numbing, sideways, slow, backwards, and nobody taking responsibility for attacking play really looks like when we haven't got the defence to get them out of the shit

That was utter fucking shite from start to finish. There are no excuses, no positives, no defending that shambolic, shameful performance. We got outplayed on our own ground by a team who were in the bottom 3. I'm not going to pick on individuals cos there's no point. That was a huge opportunity to gain points on one or both of Leeds and Burnley and we blew it in catastrophic style.

Forget about it, move on, and improve for the next game. We simply cannot have another performance like that.

I completely get where you’re coming from BUT you need to put it in context.
Start of the season after the PL horror show, we had to tighten up defensively. Despite huge constraints in the summer window, Wilder brought in Cooper, Burrows and Souttar, tweaked the formation and solved the problem. We were water-tight and could win games through the individual brilliance of players like Hamer, Rak-Sakyi and Campbell.
Fluency and clinical attacking could come later … Arblaster and Souza gave us a perfect central combination to build around. We lacked attacking depth but again we knew that would come.
Campbell coming into the team stepped us up a gear and going into the derby game we were looking well set and ready to kick on despite us all knowing that the squad was thin. Luckily Wilder was getting a great tune out of youngsters like Seriki, Peck and Brooks where needed.
Suddenly within the space of 2 or 3 weeks, we lose Arblaster, Souza, Campbell, Rak-Sakyi, Moore, Seriki. The squad is so thin we have to play half-fit players and others out of position. This huge challenge hits us right before the toughest fixtures of the season.
So you’re right that we’ve not looked fluent or fully in our stride yet … but somehow against the odds we’re in the top two. Players are slowly returning from injury and we’re finally backing the manager with money for new signings.
Tonight’s performance was awful but there are huge mitigating factors and we’re brilliantly placed to kick on when more players recover fully and new ones settle in.
We do now have the attacking talent to start playing with more threat… but it may take a few more weeks to get them all working together.
Keep the faith- it sounds like you’ve earned the right to moan as a 72 year Blade … but I’m sure you can also appreciate what a gem of a manager we have and what he can still achieve for us now that he may be backed by decent owners for once in our history.
