I was at the Norwich game, there was some discussion about the fans not staying to applaud the players off at the end of the match. My recollection is that the ref blew up with the ball and virtually all the players at the Kop end. Instead of then coming to salute the Kop (as I believe they should do) the players and staff fucked about for a bit before then going over to the John Street to wave at their mates. I hung about with the family for a while but then we collectively shrugged and left.
I'm a big fan of CW and I think he has worked miracles at BDTBL but in the presser yesterday he didn't seem too impressed that many of us 'punters' had left the ground without clapping him and the boys. My suggestion would be that in future they get a bloody shift on at the final whistle and applaud the fans that have spent their hard-earned to follow the team.

Midfield is the biggest concern for sure. Really don't know how we are going to handle choosing a midfield.

Peck is shattered and needs a rest but won't get one.
Davies is out
Souza might be back, but is almost certainly not doing 90mins even if he starts
Hamer is banned
Burrows was crap playing there last night

We don't appear to be particularly close to signing a midfielder either. The players we've been mentioned as having an interest in, all have gone quiet.

I could potentially see us dropping O'Hare deeper, as he's shown a terrific work rate and desire to press and hassle opponents, but he seems knackered too, and I don't know if he can do that from a more defensive position. Perhaps we can move Brooks central, O'Hare out to the right, and pair Brewster and Campbell together? Something like this:

GK: Cooper
DF: Seriki - Anel - JLT - Burrows
MF: O'Hare - Peck - Brooks - BBD
FW: Brewster - Campbell

Hopefully we will have Cannon signed in time to feature. More bodies in to allow the walking wounded the chance to recover will be vital for the rest of the season. If we do get that one done in time, I'd have him on the bench to begin with, and see how we go with the above line up. It has the added benefit of being able to switch to a 433, with BBD moving forward, leaving Cal/Peck/Brooks as a midfield 3.

Well done on lasting to the full time whistle - you deserve applause yourself for that. I’ve never understood the mass exodus on 85 mins that seems to take place every week, regardless of the match situation. Just another symptom of the modern ‘supporter’, I guess.

We have a tendency as supporters to always point at somebody else to do things for us. Whether it’s the ticketing system, the lack of safe standing, no co-ordinated singing section, having to sit down, getting a move on to acknowledge the supporters at the end of the match etc etc we are all quick to point out the improvements that other people can make. We never look at ourselves. Of course others could take action to improve the match day experience, but the people that can really make the difference are us.

I agree that the team took a long time to get round to acknowledging the supporters on the Kop, in fact I commented on it at the time while I was stood there waiting. I also agree with Wilder - it was embarrassing when they got there to find the Kop so empty. Yes, people would have had to wait an extra 5 minutes in the cold, with all that that entails in terms of bus queues, traffic etc, but isn’t it worth it to acknowledge a group of lads that have been running their blood to water for us over the last few weeks? If people are investing their time and money in supporting the club, then why not do it properly?

Cooper
Gilchrist Ahmedhodzic Robinson Burrows
Vini Souza Peck
Brooks Ohare BBD
Brewster

Cannon, Campbell, Rak Sakyi Seriki all options from bench is my prediction.

Before anyone dives behind the machine gun firing their ultimate analytical knowledge .... this is how i see it panning out and not what i want.

Following the Presser, I'm going with

Starting the game

Cooper
Gilchrist Anel Robbo SMcC
Peck Burrows
Brooks O'Hare BBD
Campbell

Finishing the game with

Cooper
Seriki Anel Robbo Burrows
Peck Souza
JRS
O'Hare Brewster
Cannon

Rushworth recalled by Brighton just after breaking in to Hulls first team. Every little helps.

This time of the year as injuries bite we need to keep picking up the wins by any means, id hate wilder to change formation but im half expecting it to have burrow and seriki on the pitch in wide positions, hoping 2-0

i reckon we may play brewster and campbell up top

What about Cannon, he’s match fit, in decent form and rarin to go.
If we’re playing 2 up top, reckon it will be Cannon and Brewster with Brewster playing a little deeper as support striker,
suspect Wilder will want to continue easing in Campbell, bringing him on as sub.
Campbell is probably our best striker (been so impressed with his last 2 subs appearences) and needs protecting.

im expecting cannon to be on the bench maybe bbd as well i think wilder will give brewster another go with those 2 on the bench weve good options at last

Excited to see Campbell and Cannon play together up front. Won't be tomorrow though. One will sub for the other. But....the next game...whoohoo...fire works, here we go, defences left in tatters, goal difference explosion, Deane and Agana 2.0. We all hope!!!
