Goodbye Gus. It has been an honour.
I've enjoyed him and his ever decreasing moments but he won't register for long if he does go. There's loads we've had better than him. It'll be interesting to see where Sydie ends up and how his career progresses. GLTTL's, whatever happens.

For those who were there, were there any obvious farewells from any of the players at full time?
Unfortunately SKY were focused on the Derby team.

I'm sure Tanganga and McGuiness are nice blokes who are trying their best, but I haven't been this scared watching a CB partnership since the days of Neill Collins and Calamity Jay McEveley.
I reckon McEvely was far worse than Collins and in a class of his own in the "nightmare" stakes. Collins had a decent partnership with 'Leadboots' Maguire but McGuiness seemingly can't really run properly at all. He is so one paced. Our centre back pairings this season have been dreadful. Oh for the Baldock, Bash, Egan, Stevens and O'Connell days eh.

So 73 points would have got us in the play offs

Just 13 points more

When you look at the sheer number of points we've thrown away, the piss poor results..... that really is nothing

Better results in just 6 or so of the 20+ shitfests would have been enough

We could have easily done it. But it's excusable

Not even getting in the top half though is shocking
In September I was ready to accept anything that didn't result in relegation though. I agree we have just been so bad in so many matches by gifting goals and missing gilt edged chances. We have had numerous 'Miss of the season' contenders for the attackers and plenty of 'Howler of the season' for defenders. Misses that stick in my mind are a simple tap in for Bamford at the BL end and he scudffed it past the post and also at BL end the miss by Gus Hamer when he hit a simple finish over the bar with the goalie going the wrong way. Howler of the season for me was Peck's defence splitting through ball to Carlton Morris v Derby at BL minutes into the second half to gift Derby the lead and Morris went on to get a hat trick. I am sure there are many more.
