All credit to Hull. Excellent away performance. Team scrapping at the bottom looked a lot more up for it.
I’d still rather be on our position than theirs though.
Time for a regroup and move on. Can’t win ‘em all.
It’s not like we’re out of contention, it’s just embarrassing and we’re so shit to watch I’m genuinely in two minds about wanting to get back to the prem

Just be last season all over again though probably worse

Not gonna shit my pants about this as lots will.
We desperately need to replace Souttar. JLT and Anel is NOT the answer.
Play Burrows at Left back.
Buy some creativity for the middle of the park. Urgently.
We are neither a counter attacking team / possession based team / big physical side / pressing team. Just what is our ‘Style’?
Bizarre bringing Brewster on to play left wing. Why not put Brooks there and JRS on the right.
Brooks / JRS - RUN AT DEFENDERS AND COMMIT THEM!
if we have a chance to cross first time - do it.

We looked devoid of ideas of how to break down a narrow defensive counter attacking team tonight. Our set up played directly into their hands.

That said - we still had 3 or 4 really clear opportunities to score.

Put it to bed and move on. Hopefully it’s a kick up the arse at the right time that we can learn from.
But let’s not shit our pants though hey! Despite all that

You know, I can take a loss, it will happen again. I think the players do give a shit about performances.

What really upsets me, frustrates me, and down right pisses me off is that we continue to play this ridiculous style that requires us pass back to Cooper from the half way line, go from right to left and left to right across our defense and 10 minutes later we have progressed no more that 10 yards/

Why would we bring in a CF is we don't get the ball to him?

And why did Peck take all the corners, for the most part they were too flat.

Congrats to Hull, they sussed us out and deserved to win. They pointed out a well known fact among us faithful: this formation and style of play will not get us anywhere. With Hamer we had the player to grad something out of this, today it was prominently bad for all to see..

CW, change the style of play before you are embarrassed at the end of the season....

We were this bad on Tuesday night in the first half. This is far from a one off. We've not looked great in games we've been winning.
Agree, 1st half v Swansea was poor. But changed it in the match & got the result. Tonight needs to be a REAL lesson and we see improvement quick.

All teams have that match that’s a wake up call/ blip - use tonight as that. Still a lot of Football to play. Hopefully Leeds v Burnley is a draw then it’s nothing major

10 points from 7. Do that over the next 7 games and see how far away we are then,. If we go up we are going to be worse than last time.

But why go back to the stupidity that we saw in that first half with fecking about with Burrows. Wilder is clueless and if he were anyone else there'd be minimal defence of him.

Sunderland fans saying that could be a season wrecker for us and it's them and Leeds going up 🤮

Need to come back strong with a full week rest next game, UTB
Also plenty of Sunderland fans saying that tomorrow is a replica game for us and given what's happened at Bramall Lane tonight, it's fair warning what could happen to us. Dont bet against Plymouth winning at the Stadium Of Light; however inconceivable it might seem.

I'm 63, have watched football since 1967 and there are 3 golden rules in football:

- dont take any game for granted eg bottom v top
- no team has all 90 minutes of a football match, and
- every team has a bad run during the season

In truly surprize devElopmnts in the first half at Bramall Lane,
Chris Wilder shows he is still an utter moron.
Mindlss soul; destroying dangerous pointlss Endless play at the back rather than playing the game.
This is NOT 'pass and control' Wildr it is pointlss mindless dangerous surrender of impetus and control.
Brooks on th right FFS
Diaz wasted wasted DEEP on the left whilst OHare is playing number 10 BADLY AGAin.
Corners for ages NOONE ATTACKS the ball.
They are static.
Ball drops on the pnalty spot - NO ONE THERE.
If you cannot see wilder is the problem tonight every night who made us a laughing stock last year and will continue to do the sam then you deserve to suffer this boring trash,
I do not.
.
That result 0-3 is a true reflction on Wilder as a manager
We hav being getting evrything wrong in teerms of team operation all season.
The sam imbecilc crap that destroyed us evry wek last season
Sick of listing all the fundaments hhe gts wrong.
I expected us to struggle to get out of the bottom 3
But this is the worse second divisiopn there has ever been and the quality of the playrs saw us keep winning.
It cannot last in any field.
You MUST get the fundamentals right to get the correct outcomes consistently.
No team will fear us with th impotent eunoch OHare as a striker with Brewster and Diaz wasted deep on the wings.
No one will fear us with endlss P ing about at the back. They love it and will pick us off if the want.
No one will fear us with dangerous left wingeres Jesus and Brookes disabled playing wide on the right.
It has to be Wilder out asap and a big dfendr to replace Sooty a priority.
But #ManagersareMorons so who is available who is desirable?
We would be a major foircs now with our academy utilized not wasted if w had got Howe in as I wanted last time Wildr walked out.
Who next now to take us forward - and I mean forward as I hav NEVR sen a team make so many passes backwards as undr this clown Wilder and his 'pass and control' insanity.

The last 7 games we’ve been mauled by injuries so it’s a unique situation. Let’s see how we do now players are returning, though tonight hasn’t exactly filled me with confidence

Agree with your last point though, the thought of Wilder-ball in the prem might give me an aneurysm

Ok well the next 7 games we are going to see BBD & Cannon featuring heavily and on tonight's performance it doesn't look like Wilder has ever seen Cannon play and hasn't noticed BBD has been in Burger King for 6 months. We create nothing and are awful defensively when under pressure. Wilder is beyond a busted flush. If we sacked him tonight he wouldn't get anything above the bottom 5 of the league.

It would be typical of us to drop points at home to Plymouth tomorrow. We absolutely love ending a bad run for a team.

Pompey used to say that every week. And he were right ! Wilderball

Don't get me wrong, that was shite, but if the linesman doesn't wrongly rule out our perfectly good equaliser, we win that game. We were well on top at that point and would have had all the momentum.

As it's happened, that's not only cost us our equaliser but they've gone up the other end and scored again (which did look offside but it's a much more difficult one for the linesman). That's killed us and made the substitutes look daft because we're now all over the place.

Still, none of that is an excuse to lose 3-0 at home to fucking Hull.

I'm taking absolutely nothing for granted and I'm hoping that our players aren't either. Got to be a massively professional performance from Sunderland tomorrow. No fuckups. We have seen tonight what happens when you're slightly off with your game against these sides.

Completely agree mate, feels like Wilder panicked at going 2 down & just chucked JRS on for another attacker without any plan.

As you say we’d been on top since HT and we still had 25 mins+ left at that point. We just needed to keep doing what we were after the first few changes & get the first goal, but after that they dominated & it became a non-event.

Same as Burnley actually - at 2-0 we just seemed to accept it was beyond us.
A weird and ill-thought out change. Just glad we didn't get Cooper and O'Hare to swap positions for the last ten minutes.

absolutely no chance of that happening 4 - 0 sunderland just need burnley and leeds to draw on monday

I can cope with us knocking it around at the back, if we were quick and incisive with it when we do get it forward, but we're not, it's slow with little movement and balls in are poorly delivered

Should have gone 1-1 as Brewster looked onside, anf Campbell was on so should have stood...different game if we go level.
Disappointing, but Vinnie back made a difference,Peck played well apart from the misdirected header that eventually led to their opener.
But fair play to Hull, they played well and got a bit of luck with our goal being chalkef off...not the end of the world.

Not joining the "Wilder Out" calls... but I will start a "Hamer In" petition. That guy carries this team.
This was meant to be the all guns blazing celebration victory with the big 2 name strikers making their debut at Bramall Lane against a bottom 3 side.
Ruben Selles outclassed Wilder in every way tonight. Hope the new owners see it as it is before they give Wilder a new contract !!!

absolutely spot on brewster was played on by the hull defender on tc side of pitch plus hulls 2nd was offside their lad came back from an offside position 2 terrible decisions by both linesman if it had been premier league both would have been reversed by var having said that we were so poor tonight and deserved nothing out of that game

That contract has already been put on ice I think

We wont finish in the top two because Leeds and Burnley are frankly far better teams. They were before tonight and certainly are after.

At the beginning of the season I thought a top half finish would be a good season for us after what happened last season, and how many players we needed. They've surprised me with how well they've done so far. Tonight the better team on the night won and had the rub of the green. 17 games to go til we play wednesday in play offs.

Well played Hull. Their manager was better tonight and they played that perfectly.

That has been coming for weeks. We've ridden our luck, played teams at the best times, had decisions go in our favour and had opposition players being crap anywhere near our goal.

The most ludicrous decision of the season by Wilder has to be bringing Vini on and then moving Peck to RWB. WTAF? Put Blacker or RND on ffs. We've badly missed a central pairing. Idiotic.

We had 16 shots and 2 on target, which is unacceptable. They had 8 and 5 on target.

I questioned starting two new players upfront before hte game and stand by it. Brewster or Campbell should have started with BBD. How a player who has been here for a day is meant to play in a team is beyond me. It's not Bobby Davison days.

MoM - Rubén Sellés

Anyway

Cooper - 5.5 - Didn't really have a chance with the goals. Must have been wondering what was going on in front of him.
McCallum - 5 - Looked lively but he's so one-footed and he seems to do things slightly wrong far too often.
Robinson - 4.5 - Thought he was crap tonight and lost his head. Played the lad on for the second and looked more interested in having a fight towards the end of the game.
Anel - 4 - At fault twice for the 3rd (which is impressive) and looked slow and ponderous much of the time. Needs a dominant CB and a talker next to him, as his concentration is poor, and Robbo is not that.
Gilchrist - 3 - No idea what he was doing tonight. Did a few decent things going forward but kept coming in-field and push Burrows out to the right.
Peck - 5 - Needs to concentrate on the football and not looking for aggro. Thought they did a job on him. His forward balls were largely poor.
Burrows - 4 - Poor tonight, but he really isn't a CM. He got done defensively a few times but unlucky for the OG as did well to get back.
Bucky O' - 4 - Kept getting headers, which was quite funny. Nothing really came off for him after an initial good start.
Brooks - 3 - Lad needs to use his right foot. It's laughable that he just slows down attacks and then cuts inside onto his left foot, even when he has the running of the FB.
BBD - 4 - Lots of poor decision, poor touches and bad passes. Still rusty.
Canon - 2 - Terrible, but why on earth was he playing? Only been here a day. People are slagging him off already but his manager set him up for a fall.

Subs:

Brewster -5 - Great header on for the (incorrectly) disallowed goal but didn't really do much else.
Campbell - 6 - Unlucky not to have scored and he had a number of shots and looked the most likely to score. Should have done better with some of them though.
Souza - 6 - Glad he's back but sabotaged straight away by moving Peck to RWB. Got a whack which hopefully is nothing
Rak-saki - 5 - Looked poor when he came on. Glad to see him back but needs to get up to speed.

Wilder - 2/10 - Clearly hamstring b the midfield issues but starting two new players up top was a really bad decision (especially since one had ben here for a day). Got outthought tonight by Rubén Sellés.

Buy some creativity for the middle of the park. Urgently.
Genuinely think we don't need it. I'd rather have Choudhury. or Charles. We're playing 3 of Hamer, O'Hare, Rak-Saki, and BBD so we shouldn't need it. We just need players to control the middle, win the ball and then pass it to one of them. That simple.

This has been on the cards for a while.

Some of our leaders' selections have also been a little suspect to say the least.

However we crack on.

But why go back to the stupidity that we saw in that first half with fecking about with Burrows. Wilder is clueless and if he were anyone else there'd be minimal defence of him.
I’ll take a clueless manager who’s won more points than any other team this season all day long. I’m sure he would have loved to play square pegs in square holes but if people can’t see that his hand is being forced by injury and lack of squad depth it’s pretty sad.
This is when the team need us behind them and thank God we’ve got a manager who consistently overcomes adversity.

Well, that was a difficult watch.
There’s always a silver lining for some though and this defeat will give all the undercover pigs, WUMs and other assorted half-wits that infest this board something to have a knee-trembler over. Knock yourselves out lads, we’ll be back to winning ways shortly.
