Worrying signs when we come up against semi decent opposition in Leeds/Boro/Burnley and struggle to create. We scraped the win against a Sunderland side that couldn’t win for toffee at the time. Can expect much of the same next season IF we get promoted

Good management is finding a formation and tactics to suit what you have at your disposal.

Bad management is picking a formation that you don't have players for and playing others out of position to accommodate it.

This has been the story of our season and why the performances have been consistently poor on the ball. Off the ball we are generally solid. With it we are lethargic, predictable, negative, static and constantly outnumbered from no one committing forwards, or not committing forwards quick enough.

We need bodies in urgently as our bench today was a joke for a team top of the table.

A really disappointing performance. Not combative or creative enough. Didn't really bother Burnley at all. Way to impress the new owners!

We really didn't play much differently to the last half dozen games but up against much better players and manager.

No system, no plan, created next to nothing. But against the best organised team in the league we always looked second best. They controlled the game from start to finish.

Playing Brewster was pointless. We would have been better going to 5 at the back given our lack of attacking options on the bench.

We need more players to chose from and now Souttar is out we're down to two fit CBs again.

Today was not great, but we are going to be in the automatic spots half way through the season, despite having a points deduction and a horrendous run of injuries. The players deserve credit for gutting out so many results. Quality signings up front are a necessity for me, plus a CB if Souttars injury is as bad as it looked.

Don’t usually post on here but feel I’ve got to reading some of the reactions to this. Yes we have obviously lost to a rival but wasn’t much in the game really, the second goal was a very lucky deflection. We aren’t in a false position we have played every team and accumulated 48 points which is a great return which ever spin you want to put on it. We will bring in a few in January and kick on again in my opinion.

For me we need another right back (history repeating last season with left back), a replacement for Peck as he is not the answer. He doesn't look Championship standard and not consistent enough and he's negative in possession either passing back for a safe pass then giving it away whenever he tried anything positive with it. Add to that two actual wingers, one for each side as Hamer, Brewster and Rak-Sakyi are not the answer.

A right hand side of Callum O Hare and Alfie Gilchrist. Rhian Brewster as a number 10.

Fuck me. That was appalling

As I’ve said before, in the big games have we seen any step up in managerial ability from wilder from last season?
I am sorry to say when it comes to these matches against the big teams he sets up negatively every time.

His first thought is to try and stop the opposition rather than concentrating on what we can do.

We play better when taking the game to the opposition soon as we sit back it costs us every time.

He never learns in the big games.

Wilder is not going to take us forward. Same ilk as Warnock and Hecky.

Great for grinding out results against lower standard teams but can’t get past the big boys.
Which is very worrying if we're going to go up again

He’s absolutely terrified of being completely exposed. I think these setups are a safety blanket for him. We aren’t exactly rolling over the dregs of the division either. A year on I’m still far from close to understanding the long term sense in bringing him back.

disappointing result. for majority of the game, i dont think we did much wrong. you can put in a great performance do very little wrong & be behind, as luck just conspires against you

burnley just got the rub of green today they took there 1 chance 1st half & in a way burnleys 2nd is just football & it knocked the stuffing out of us. as deflections can go anywhere. ours went straight into the Keepers arms. & theirs went top corner.

the referee didnt help ridiculously inconsistent & felt like he was biased as any decision he was unsure of he gave to burnley. handball doesnt exist & burnley's 2nd, comes from the ref not bringing play back for advantage
