My main frustration is we don’t have a “goal scoring passage of play” in stock. A typical Utd goal if you will. One you know that 3 times out of 10 will be a goal. Burrows wicked cross but doesn’t beat man, Moore big target man but no crosses, Robinsons throws but no end product. Where do the goals come from? As not every goal can be a worldly.

Expected us to play this way first half when they are trying to get that record.

Unfortunately plan A has now seriously gone tits up.....:tumbleweed:

Why blame the referee.

O’Hare got fouled just outside their area. The ref played ‘advantage’, which led to Burnley breaking away on the counter, from which their player got fouled on the edge of the box and the ref gave it immediately. They score from the resulting free kick.

Poor refereeing.

I’ve watched it back. Ref made right decision

Burnley player dives like tom daley down the left ref gives a foul, the fuking midget privk

We have a really good starting 11 but can’t cope with injuries … if we get investment in Jan we might win the games against the best teams … if not … play offs for us … which tbf is better than I anticipated at the start of the season

2 well organized teams, normally we have the better individual players and it's been enough. Unfortunately, Burnley are just as organized but they have better individuals.

That’s my thinking as I temper my disappointment.. still got 1/2 season left but playoffs is better than I had envisioned at the beginning of the season

Given how we’ve been this season, I’m reluctant to get too critical. Especially when we’re down to the bare bones. We are holding possession well and if it was 0-0, we’d be fairly content.

But… it’s incredibly frustrating that we’re playing the best organised defence in the league and every time we get the ball, we put our foot on it for ten seconds and let them get back in shape. The first instinct is always to turn backwards.

United - very poor. Hardly created anything.

Burnley - not much better.

Oliver Langford - absolute joke. Should have been 11 v 10 after 35 mins. Second goal should have been United’s free kick.

Since then he’s hardly given anything to United at all.

Poor day all round.

And if Harry is out then that’s the next three games done for me … by far and away out best defender

I don't care too much about the result. We did not deserve to lose, but then we have won games we did not deserve to win as well. Just normal variance. In a match between those two teams it was always very hard to come back for either if the other one manages to break the deadlock.

However, injuries to Vini (I assume that's why he came off at HT) and Souttar are very bad news. At least we might be able to send Souttar back to Leicester if this is season-ending and bring in someone else?

e: Also, did not understand people saying JRS was not a miss before the game and still don't. In games like this players who can create from nothing are a huge asset as both teams "playing normally" would just result in a 0-0.
