The thing is it is well documented Wilder and his staff do background checks on all potential signings on not just their ability but personality etc and gather opinions from professionals within the game who have worked with the player. I think we should be pretty safe in the knowledge that should Wilder pursue a player that he should fit in with our squad.

Biggest worry here is he’s unlikely to be of any use until the new year!

Out until October and would need at least a few months to get his fitness and preseason in. And that’s even if he was the same player he was before injury.

Whiff of desperation here imo. Hopefully some sort of smoke screen to force another move one way or the other.
