I haven’t tuned in for a while. Does Bob Jackson still play brass band music if our local teams are losing?

I know a lot of people like to make out that we have 'favourites' or prefer this team over another, but actually we just balance out coverage between six clubs (not easy) and at various points there are big talking points, specials and interviews about all. However, no other team had a special programme and a special interview over the festive period - so accusations of bias feel a bit off if you don't mind us saying.
I stopped listening when I heard a rumour you'd put mark on a retainerHi Blades,
Thought we'd pass on that over the last seven days we've not only broadcast a one hour special on Tony Currie, delivered on the day of his 75th birthday: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0kfpq6r
But we also recently conducted a 30 minute interview with Prince Abdullah: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0kfnz0q
On tonight's show we kicked things off talking about the great job Chris Wilder had done, then talked about one of the big talking points from the weekend which was Danny Röhl's comments about the transfer window. We had callers from Doncaster, Rotherham and Barnsley plus Sheffield Wednesday and would've happily put to air any Blades, as we regularly do. Tonight we had a lot of Blades texters and read their messages out.

Showing your age there , GrayI haven’t tuned in for a while. Does Bob Jackson still play brass band music if our local teams are losing?![]()
It did cross my mind that most on here wouldn’t have a clue what I’m on about.Showing your age there , Gray![]()
Can I take it by comments so far, it’s the same format….same callers…same shit different day
Same reason not to turn on Radio Sheffield unless there is a match on.
Dunno. Listening to Xanthe Palmer is like having honey drizzled into your ears.

AyeWear a daft hat, talk bollocks.
He used to fiddle it and play it , when we had scored but not tell us . Clever was Bob invented the original phone in about footy , suprised Manchester not tried to claim it , along with ooo-ah and our name etc .I haven’t tuned in for a while. A legend we all get older ... Sky Sports pundits reel same old shit out week in week out and get paid for it!Yes but instead of it being most days, it’s now probably once a month.
Think his age is taking its toll because when he does come on he repeats what he said the last time he was on. Still a character though, his voice and the way he talks often reminds me of Neil Warnock speaking.
My favourite idiot was one on Toby Foster the morning after England lost to Italy on penalties. It's Southgates fault. He picked 3 players who missed. He needed to pick 5 who were going to score.I think the fact that the pigs are massively overperforming will naturally lead to many of them crawling out of the woodwork.
Imagine being a pig during our recent promotion seasons and the 9th placed PL season, I bet they thought the same.
I actually think we have a pretty balanced local radio team and they have a hard job to please everyone with 2 major teams and then the smaller teams dotted around the region.
Some of the callers are idiots but they can’t invent calls, if you’ve got something sensible to say and want people to hear it then call in, it might just take up the 10 mins that would normally go to the pitsmoor scrubber or mick the pig.
Hiya Rob, I don't care if you are a wednesday fan. I always find your commentary on the blades to be really good. I don't see this bias that others do. We all know that Paul Walker is a blade but I never thought he was biased either. I particularly like your style of presenting. It can be combative and sometimes quite funny.Hi Blades,

Deluded arseholes.
Military marching music no less…Amazing how many times it used to work for us.I haven’t tuned in for a while. Does Bob Jackson still play brass band music if our local teams are losing?![]()

Sorry I don’t listen to FH anymore, but I also don’t buy the Star, a matchday programme or drink Bovril.Hi Blades,
