Hi Blades,

Thought we'd pass on that over the last seven days we've not only broadcast a one hour special on Tony Currie, delivered on the day of his 75th birthday: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0kfpq6r

But we also recently conducted a 30 minute interview with Prince Abdullah: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0kfnz0q

On tonight's show we kicked things off talking about the great job Chris Wilder had done, then talked about one of the big talking points from the weekend which was Danny Röhl's comments about the transfer window. We had callers from Doncaster, Rotherham and Barnsley plus Sheffield Wednesday and would've happily put to air any Blades, as we regularly do. Tonight we had a lot of Blades texters and read their messages out.

I know a lot of people like to make out that we have 'favourites' or prefer this team over another, but actually we just balance out coverage between six clubs (not easy) and at various points there are big talking points, specials and interviews about all. However, no other team had a special programme and a special interview over the festive period - so accusations of bias feel a bit off if you don't mind us saying.

Anyway, thanks for listening and speak soon!

Nice try, Ralph!

I stopped listening when I heard a rumour you'd put mark on a retainer 😁😁

I’m not convinced.

To FH team
Hi Rob we all know your a Wednesday fan , however although I don't listen as much these days i must say I always found the presenters to be balanced & fair .
The coverage is 2nd to none and it is appreciated by many .
Don't get me wrong some of the callers are a bit monotonous.
Unfortunately for you a lot of Blades are too cool to listen & just prefer to give you grief on here.......
It's not the Blades way to conform...
Look at the reaction to the scarf thing at Watford .....Nah fuck that too poncey for us were Sheffield United.
Keep up the good work. I hope sausage roll buggers of to Rotherham & that you lot get relegated 😁

All joking aside l’ve never felt Ralph has ever shown any bias against us either on R/S, although l hardly listen these days, or when commentating.

Does he sneer at the deluded on PorG like Walker often did to Blades callers?

I haven’t tuned in for a while. Does Bob Jackson still play brass band music if our local teams are losing? 🎺
He used to fiddle it and play it , when we had scored but not tell us . Clever was Bob invented the original phone in about footy , suprised Manchester not tried to claim it , along with ooo-ah and our name etc .

Yes but instead of it being most days, it’s now probably once a month.

Think his age is taking its toll because when he does come on he repeats what he said the last time he was on. Still a character though, his voice and the way he talks often reminds me of Neil Warnock speaking.
A legend we all get older ... Sky Sports pundits reel same old shit out week in week out and get paid for it!

Put it on for the first time in a long while the other night. One of the presenters was arguing with a caller which should've been mildly entertaining (and it would've been if he'd called him a prick and offered him out). I was getting a little riled myself. Not very often I'm prone to a verbal outburst but I found myself doing it - It went "Hey Google, play XS Manchester"

I think the fact that the pigs are massively overperforming will naturally lead to many of them crawling out of the woodwork.

Imagine being a pig during our recent promotion seasons and the 9th placed PL season, I bet they thought the same.

I actually think we have a pretty balanced local radio team and they have a hard job to please everyone with 2 major teams and then the smaller teams dotted around the region.

Some of the callers are idiots but they can’t invent calls, if you’ve got something sensible to say and want people to hear it then call in, it might just take up the 10 mins that would normally go to the pitsmoor scrubber or mick the pig.
My favourite idiot was one on Toby Foster the morning after England lost to Italy on penalties. It's Southgates fault. He picked 3 players who missed. He needed to pick 5 who were going to score.

Hiya Rob, I don't care if you are a wednesday fan. I always find your commentary on the blades to be really good. I don't see this bias that others do. We all know that Paul Walker is a blade but I never thought he was biased either. I particularly like your style of presenting. It can be combative and sometimes quite funny.
I hear commentary from other regions occasionally and I think to myself how lucky we are to have you guys on RS.
There are some right moaning old twats on here 😂

I don’t think the football heaven multi club format works these days. Everybody prefers to retreat into their little echo chambers talking about the clubs they love…Lets be honest, who wants to listen to some wobbly-gob from Rotherham banging on about t’Millers for twenty bloody minutes?

One pig on tonight, if we sign 2 defenders we will finish 2nd.
Deluded arseholes.
absolutely no chance they finish top 6 theyve been flattered lately with a run of games against bottom half teams theyve got some tough ones coming up soon and unless they recruit at the back their gonna concede loads of goals their defence is shit

Sorry I don’t listen to FH anymore, but I also don’t buy the Star, a matchday programme or drink Bovril.
