Seen this report from Nixon linking PNE with a move for Cannon.

If there’s anything in it you have to think we’d be getting around £6m for him.

That would make sales as follows.

Brooks £8m
Hamer £6m
Cannon £6m

I get we haven’t got parachute payments anymore but surely this sort of money coming into the club equates to at least £10m to reinvest into the current squad??

Running an EFL Championship football club results in average pre-tax losses of roughly £15 million to £18 million per club annually

Where does that money (investment) come from ?

I reckon we still need another sale on top of that before can go shopping with money

£6m for cannon

Like a £250k per year job off from the brittle bone society……. I’d snap their fuckin hand off.

Asset stripping.. !!!
That’s what the owners are clearly doing
How do you consider that to be in the best interests of owners who have an initial investment and subsequent investments into infrastructure ?
Asset stripping only works if the realised funds go to the owners without devaluing the core asset.

Honestly people who buy football clubs must know this so it’s somewhat irrelevant

There are clubs who have spent much of the last 5 seasons in a league or even two leagues below us at times now spending more money than us in the previous three transfer windows

Genuinely think Stoke would go to £5m. They've been after Hirst who's valued at £10m, and Cannon is still liked a lot over there.
yes i think stoke will be in for cannon if they know we are prepared to sell and i think they may go to 6m

Wilder just said on tv we won't be signing anybody permanent ...be loans..also said he wants a centre half..he wanted 2 before..so that looks like it's changed.

We owe around £20m net in transfer fees, that needs covering first plus loss in revenue due to parachute payments means the wage bill also needs reducing before we have any hope of spending money.
The above is the sensible suff, add to that it seems the owners can’t or are unwilling to pay the Prince his last £35m!
