Some Blades fans must be gutted we won the game today. It’s spoilt a good couple of week’s moaning!

We ought to start giving out 4/10s for some of the fans!

We’ve put ourselves in a really strong position by grinding out some wins and draws when we’ve played badly.

Tonight we also showed some flashes of quality on the ball. When we get the ball on the deck and move it quickly we cause teams problems. Likewise when we press high up the pitch. We don’t do either of those things nearly enough.

Performances have to improve. We didn’t have a shot until the 35th minute today. That’s not sustainable. If we play like tonight then more often than not we will lose. It’s not rocket science.

This squad is capable of having a decent season, despite carrying some dross and all the fuckery by the owners this summer. Hopefully we can build on tonight and put a decent run together.

This season is a relegation battle make no mistake.

Made the point on Saturday that it’s vital we get results against those likely to be in and around us at the bottom.

Blackburn fall in to that category so I’m happy and thought we looked good 2nd half and enjoyed watching.

Wolves Saturday is a match I expect us to lose heavily.

I get trying to stay positive, and the win is obviously a positive, but we were mostly fucking dire. We fluked our way past a team who'll likely finish in the bottom 5.

"If we can get a coherent style of play, we'll be fine". Wilder's had a full season now and there's still no discernible style. That's looking exceptionally unlikely at this point.

Take away Peck's little moment and Cooper's saves and the rest of that game was a horrid watch.

"Massive credit to CW" feels way over the top too. Given the tactics and the team we've assembled, it was a good result - but praise this gushing is embarrassing.

Another difficult watch - a great win but we look like a league 2 side clinging on to a lucky lead in a cup tie against much higher opposition. That said, two moments of real quality football won it for us. I just think we SHOULD be able to play with more control given the players we have.

Was speaking to a Burnley fan today.

He was really pissed off with them, whereas when I have watched them, I have felt that they have good players and the results will come.

Told him I was envious of the spread of their recruitment and that we feel we just get players who have played the division before.

He completely disagreed and said that they have just got foreign players who don't care about the club. Said that thier american owners were just asset stripping them (irony).

Made me think a bit differently today as although we were lacking, the players mostly put a shift in and got a result.

You can’t dress that up surely. We’ve conceded 20 shots against Blackburn ffs, alongside countless other big opportunities that won’t go down as goal attempts. Cooper MOTM again. I swear some of our fans don’t watch the games!

Yep, I can’t argue with that but some
big issues for us to iron out that are independent from the board situation. Mainly style of play, coaching and mentality.

Whilst the win is positive i can’t pretend that a win like this is particularly enjoyable.

Edit: i think more than anything i still don’t feel confident that we are moving in the right direction.

Sorry I should have posted I’m really annoyed we’re 9th, I thought we’d be much higher. The ongoing litigation between present and past Owners is actually a natural motivator for the players and staff and losing 41 goals / assists from last years XI should be seen as a tactical challenge rather than an encumbrance.

Those that want Wilder gone are not worth listening to. Sorry but that's how I see it. The only reason we stay up this season will be due to Wilder. Anyone can see his hands are totally tied behind his back. Some of our fans must think his first choice signings are the ones we've made! Given we've sold our best three players who are all creative, Seriki injured two weeks into the season; so it's not like Wilder would have planned to sign a player in that position other than a squad player.

Potential 12 point deduction all over the media for weeks and right at the crucial stages of the transfer window.

Great result which is all that matters considering where the club and squad is. Lads were out on their feet and kept grinding. I thought the subs did very well in closing the game down. Hard to see how we put a competitive side out on Sunday.
