Listening to texts and calls from Wednesday fans weeping about parachute payments is like music to my ears. The club that threw vast sums of money in a failed attempt to gain promotion moaning on about us and all our millions is hilarious. Forgetting that we smashed them all over Hillsborough with a team that cost about 30 quid back in 2018. Money didnt guarantee them a win that day, did it?

Parachute payments aren't the problem, they spent more on players than us this year given the sales we made. The issue is the quality of players teams can accrue whilst in the Premier League who then play in the Championship, and are far better than any existing Championship player, even if not outstanding in the PL. Look at Souza, Anel etc.
Alternatively, they get sold for absolute millions, so providing the teams with more money to spend on the remaining wages, buying new players, paying off loans etc.

Look at the players relegated with Leicester and Southampton last time, they went straight back up and still made millions on players like Ward-Prowse, Maddison, Lavia, Livramento etc.

What they seem to be asking for is some sort of level playing field where teams should either sell or at least can't play their vastly superior players but also not re-invest the money either.
And even that couldn't be guarenteed to make a level playing field. Some of our players have come from our academy, funded in part by PL money, so should they be inelligable as well?

I do agree there's a massive issue with the gap between PL and Championship. Teams getting promoted can't compete with established teams, but will invest enough to ensure they are one of the strongest teams when relegated and be able to re-coup money. Not always the case, as Luton are showing, but I suspect they are the exception to the norm now, as will be any team that manages to survive in the PL.

Like how they are feeling sorry for them having to travel to Plymouth and Norwich before the Derby game

Staton and that chimp Oxley just said if pigs finish where they are and beat us on Sunday, they will have 'the bragging rights' over the summer...mentally ill the lot of them 🤣🤣

Listening numbers must have dropped through the floor if Ralph and the poor Seth tribute are that desperate for callers.

Load of bollox

So if we happen to nick promotion, coupled with the “fact” we’ve beaten them this season, pigs get bragging rights?

As I say load of bollox

What's so hard to understand about the fact it's odd to keep starting so many threads about the same person?

It's got nothing to do with BBC Radio Sheffield or Rob Staton, it's just a point in general.

If I started seven different threads slagging Ronnie Corbett off in Entertainment Chat people would think it was really fucking weird.
Aye
If you started just one thread about Ronnie Corbett I’d think it was a lot more than “really fucking weird”

Not about the presenters but the commentators.

Andy Giddings has got this godawful habit of counting the chickens before they’ve hatched.

Such comments as “seemingly on their way to another victory” and “a positive double for both Sheffield teams” absolutely grate my gears.

Why can’t you keep your daft trap shut and not tempt fate at every possible opportunity?
