Lundstram

He completely phoned it in against Palace too.

Remember one of their lads running past him near the touchline and rather than track his run he unsuccessfully tried to foul him and they scored. Might have been Eze.

That was also on Wilder. He should have circulated his name and sold him off even cheap and replaced him along with a left centre back instead of spending on Ramsdale and Brewster. Can’t believe how badly we got it wrong that window. It should have been a season of consolidation. Last thing you want in those situations is first teamers phoning it in.

Lundstram and Slater in CM along with Hughes at the back and McBurnie up front is a very strong spine for Hull, and the sort that could carry them into the top 6. Will be quite interesting to watch them
Think the midfield is mid table at best. We have 6 midfielders better.

He also did it (off the top of my head) against Southampton at home and Leeds away that season. A totally selfish and unprofessional footballer. He completely disrespected the club and its fans. Even when he toddled off to Rangers at the season end (talk about football rewarding the feckless, lazy, and self centred) he made sure he had a little parting nip at SUFC with his little dig about joining a club who had fans from a real footballing city like Liverpool (even if Sheffield was integral to the rules of the game as we know it). He knew exactly what he was saying there and was another 'feck you' to the club and the fans.

I don't hate anyone, but as far as disliking a professional footballer goes, I think hes up there in the top 1 for me. I hope he gets a really hot reception when he comes back to the Lane both on and off the field. I hope we absolutely hammer his side next season home and away and make him look daft.

It all went to his head when he played about 10 games where he actually looked a decent player.

I was astounded that he was in the starting line up at Bournemouth on the opening day in 2019, after doing nothing at Championship level but then looking back, even a tosspot like Lundstram has done more in the years since than what Luke Freeman did as the alternative.

The club were ambitious when it came to getting Berge in and wanted to keep raising the bar, whereas Lundstram's response was that if he wasn't going to be able to succeed, then nobody could. Totally on Wilder who was so bleeding stubborn and couldn't see the wood for the trees in that disastrous second season with a team, besides Didzy, that was utter garbage and way past its sell by date.

It was but i think it would be a bit harsh to single that out. The way he landed after his attempted shoulder barge left him off the pitch with Baldock much closer (and faster to track back)... also Many United players were deeper than Lundstram and Eze scored with SIX United players around him.

My god we were absolutely terrible that season

Wilder lost his job because of him. He replaced him n Lundstram never forgave him. He then packed in on the pitch clearly and didn’t sign a new deal but Wilder still played the prat. The same Wilder who discarded club legend Duffy for asking for better terms after getting promoted to the prem. I felt it was the first time during Wilder’s reign he let a player disrespect the club.

His disgraceful performance at Leeds is the one I remember in particular. I don’t think I can better Deadbat’s description in his report on the game:

“Lundstram 1/10 – I give him 1 for a few runs forward and a couple of surges second half where he got a few free kicks. That is it. The rest of his game was a masterclass in adjectivity. He got booked early for a clumsy foul where he lost his man and could not be bothered to run back. He then continued to lose his runners and amble around as they overrun us. Several times they broke and he did not even bother trying to get back. Second half he had a highlight reel that will take some topping. He gave it away three times in about three minutes leading to clear chances for them. He hit several awful set plays that did not even beat the first man (barely got to his knee let alone head of the defender). He wafted his leg at several high balls and then tried a stupid back heel. His reaction to all of these errors was to either stand there or just amble back as several Leeds player haired past him. He could not have looked more disinterested. Weirdly he had one or two sprints forward amongst this – maybe to get his stats up as we said on the pod! What we are gaining by playing him I do not know. If fans were there he would not be playing as the reaction would be horrific. I still fail to see what the point of him being involved is. Play Ndiaye. Play Ampadu (and he won’t be here either so that is probably as bad!). Anything but him. At times today I thought he was doing things badly on purpose – I thought surely he cannot be that bad? One of the worst displays from a Blade this season and there has been some shockers.”

Lundstram got ideas above his station when he became a Fantasy League "star" (by being mistakenly listed as a defender) despite not being a regular starter the season before. His wage demands were rightly turned down. The bit I don't understand is why CW kept picking him, especially after the way Duffy was treated.

Don’t start a sentence with and.

It's not grammatically incorrect to start a sentence with the word 'and'.
'But' is also acceptable.
