Sorry we doubled his wages from league one to championship upon signing from £1k a week to £2k then doubled it on promotion so from leaving Oxford his wage quadrupled in 2 years to £4kWhy would his promotion clause have been triggered twice?

Jesus fucking Christ, I don't know what part of my statement is so difficult for you to understand.
I was replying to that statement (the one you made before you started moving the goal posts). My point is, there is absolutely no way a English Premier League club should lose a player to a Scottish Club, even the big two Scottish clubs.
No other Premier League club would unless it is young players on loan, or older players at the end of their careers.
How did you have access to Lunny’s payslips at Oxford and The Lane?Lundstram left because we were paying him £4,000 a week, yes £4,000 a week as a premier League footballer, most of them earn TWICE that a DAY, when we got him he was in £1,000 a week and he had a promotion clause that doubled his salary this triggered twice in 3 seasons, and then he was performing particularly well in the premier League, now I don't know what we offered him I was not privvy to the discussions just the actual salary info, but we probably offered to double or maybe even treble it, which is a good offer , but not relative to a premier League salary and he thought u know what i can get £20k a week anywhere so he did
Do you seriously think that Carter-Vickers wouldn’t get a game at ANY Premier League club?Yes,
PLAYERS THEY DID NOT WANT, AND PLAYERS THAT WERE NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO PLAY FOR ANOTHER PREMIER LEAGUE CLUB.

And he only played 10 times (5 starts) in that promotion season. Hardly the pivotal player he thought he should be paid as.Not the worst deal if he triggered a promotion bonus twice when he got promoted once with us.
AbsolutelyFucking hate Chris Sutton. Smarmy, smug, arrogant prick.
Yes, probably NOW HE WOULDDo you seriously think that Carter-Vickers wouldn’t get a game at ANY Premier League club?
Perhaps they couldn’t all afford the transfer fee.Yes, probably NOW HE WOULD
He wouldn't at Spurs, and there wasn't a cue of Premier League clubs taking him at the time
Exactly the point I was making. If Brentford offer him more money he will go there
Same as if we did that's how football finances work
“Club Retard”?Would club retard have got any of those players..........No, absolutely not. Each one of them would have seen it as a step down. But apparently it's not a step down to go to Brentford.
Would any of Brentford's, Southampton, or Palace's best players end up in Scotland at the height of their careers......No, absolutely not.
If we suddenly stumbled upon a decent player that had escaped the radar of other Premier League clubs and Celtic came in for him, would we be able to hold onto him.......No, absolutely not.
That's the difference between a Premier League club, and Sheffield United who just happened to have found themselves there a couple of times.
It's because all those clubs have more money than usExactly the point I was making.
ANY ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE CLUB CAN TAKE A SCOTTISH PREMIER LEAGUE PLAYER BECAUSE THEY CAN PAY MORE WAGES.
Southampton took Van Dyke, Wanyama and Armstrong from Celtic
Brentford took Ajer from Celtic
Palace took Edouard from Celtic.

Maybe we didn’t offer him any more because we didn’t think he was worth any more. And I can’t say I’d disagree with that assessment.
He’ll be remembered at Ibrox and at BDTBL for the occasional goal he scored, not for any footballing prowess
Hahahahhahahhahahahaha
What planet are you on
Arguably our best midfielder or certainly on of our best midfielders in a team that finished 9th is worth no more than 4k a week
"We have offered him a very good contract that is up there with the top players at the club. He doesn't want to sign it," Wilder said.Arguably our best midfielder or certainly on of our best midfielders in a team that finished 9th is worth no more than 4k a week

John Lundstram: Sheffield United midfielder rejects new contract
Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder says it is "frustrating" as midfielder John Lundstram turns down a new contract offer.www.bbc.co.uk
Arguably…is doing a lot of lifting in that sentence, because I’d argue he was nowhere near the level of our other midfielders. Not fit to lace John Fleck’s boots, for example.
And I’m probably on the same planet as those in the club who didn’t offer him an improved contract.![]()

Could not agree more, he is a total mardy git !Really hope he gets a bad reception at the lane. Considering Jebbison got a lot of stick last season, what lundstram did was way worse. Completely packed in the moment Berge came in, proper spat his dummy out. It’s transpired since that Berge is indeed a much better player and it was right to try and integrate him. I’ll never forget the covid year where he really packed in on the field, I distinctly remember the arsenal game at home where he didn’t bother tracking back and our striker sprinted past him towards our own goal while he walked around sulking.
Big time Charlie and I hope Soumare kicks him all over the pitch.
