Lundstram leaving Rangers, presumably rather wealthier than when he started. Don’t think he’s been the massive success they were hoping for.

Reading the comments from their fans they seem forever grateful for the goal he scored in the europa semi-final.

I think they got fed up of his lack of effort though last couple of seasons. He’s a strange player Lundstram, he can literally be the best player or the worst player on the pitch at any moment.

I’ve read he’s off to Turkey, I’m not sure their fans will allow him to walk around!

I hope he gets some pyro straight up his sphincter if he goes to Turkey, the tosser.

Mardy cunt faced bastard is one of the least likable players we’ve ever had and is still earning good money based on one good season and a reputation built on a fantasy football mistake.

They had him down as a defender, cheap as fuck as no one expected him to play. So everyone put him in to fill a hole so they could pick salah and De Bruyne. Then as he was a midfielder he went on to score a few and we kept a few clean sheets so he was pound for pound the best fantasy pick that season.

Also the reason why a lot of people are still pissed at wilder. Everyone could see he downed tooled and couldn’t give a fuck yet picked week on week and defended by Wilder.

As a Celtic fan I laughed my bollocks off when they signed him, and I laughed even harder most weeks since he's been there.
The sad thing though is Sheffield United losing a player who was a big part of our successful first season back in the Prem to a SCOTTISH CLUB.

Even Celtic who are without a shadow of doubt the richest Scottish club by a country mile cannot keep a player if Leicester or Southampton or Fulham want to buy him let alone one of the Premier League's big guns.

And yet we manage to lose a player, not only to a Scottish club, but a Scottish club in financial meltdown.....................fucking pathetic.

What do you mean manged to lose him. ? He had a 3 month good spell in the PL.
The mardy fucker wouldnt sign another contract he had no intentions. Its not really a sad thing we lost him. I was fucking ecstatic when he finally fucked off not fucking sad
It was all down to Wilder continuing to play him. We should have shipped him out 12 months before he fucked off

Yes, he was a complete twat
But before becoming a complete twat he was worthy of a new contract, a proper contract worthy of a half decent player who had performed quite well in our first Premier League season. He downed tools because he's a twat, but he also had good reason to be pissed off with Sheffield United. At the end of his first Premier League season he should have been put on grown up wages instead of the fucking YOP Scheme he was on.
But then he had already been tapped up by Rangers, so he was pissed off and refused to play. It was still a simple process to give Lundstram a half decent EPL contract and he wouldn't have gone.

This is something our club never seems to get through its thick, stupid head. If a player signs a contract as a League One player and then manages to be part of a team that is playing in the Premier League he should have his contract improved regardless of how long is still left on the old contract.

Mo Salah has been at Liverpool for seven years,
Do you think Liverpool after giving him a three year contract said "Ahh well he's under contract for three years.......two years.......one year.......Oh fuck".

My point is, there is absolutely no way a English Premier League club should lose a player to a Scottish Club, even the big two Scottish clubs.
No other Premier League club would unless it is young players on loan, or older players at the end of their careers.

Hi mate can I ask what attracted you to Celtic ?
Family or birth place ?

We were a Championship club when Lunny’s contract expired.
No other? Celtic signed Carter-Vickers from Tottenham and Frimpong from Man City. Rangers signed Sterling from Chelsea and Davies from Liverpool.

Which part of young players on loan, or older players towards the end of their careers didn't you understand, or more accurately choose to ignore.
None of those players were in Liverpool, Spurs or Man City's plans, and they were so either out of favour or not established that even we managed to loan two of them, so cost was certainly not an issue.

Frimpong was a complete unknown, and oddly enough was fairly average at Celtic and extremely inconsistent, he got a move to Germany and no Celtic fan batted an eyelid at it really. It just goes to show that sometimes you know there is a player in there somewhere, but it just takes a certain set of circumstances and opportunities for him to show his true value, and those circumstances and opportunities might not be at a certain club at a certain time.

But I still stand behind me point, No established Premier League player will go to Scotland because Celtic cannot compete financially with an English Premier League club, unless he plays for us.

Ben Davies cost Rangers £3m. He wasn’t on loan.
Frimpong signed a 4 year deal. He wasn’t on loan.
Sterling signed a 4 year deal. He wasn’t on loan.

How do you know he wasnt offered an improved contract. Im pretty sure he was as he refused to sign it

I glad we didnt or Lundstram refused to sign a half decent EPL contract
What a waste of money that would have been

Comparing Mo Salah to Lundstram WTF have you been on

As Ive said Lundstram is a Championship level player at best

I thought Lundstram was offered a new contract but it didn't match what he thought he was worth?

He’ll just bounce from club to club when his contracts run out. He will be very wealthy but in a few years he’ll be “John Who”. No legacy except his bank account

Lundstram left because we were paying him £4,000 a week, yes £4,000 a week as a premier League footballer, most of them earn TWICE that a DAY, when we got him he was in £1,000 a week and he had a promotion clause that doubled his salary this triggered twice in 3 seasons, and then he was performing particularly well in the premier League, now I don't know what we offered him I was not privvy to the discussions just the actual salary info, but we probably offered to double or maybe even treble it, which is a good offer , but not relative to a premier League salary and he thought u know what i can get £20k a week anywhere so he did

Who cares ?
It's a line in the sand that you've drawn just so you can be angry at the club

Rangers are a bigger club than us no matter what league they play in

Not the worst deal if he triggered a promotion bonus twice when he got promoted once with us.

Premier League Brighton sold Connor Goldson and Jamie Murphy to Rangers.
Yes,
PLAYERS THEY DID NOT WANT, AND PLAYERS THAT WERE NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO PLAY FOR ANOTHER PREMIER LEAGUE CLUB.
Jesus fucking Christ, I don't know what part of my statement is so difficult for you to understand.

No doubt about it.
But we'll see what happens next time they get a player that is too good for the Scottish Prem and a "GIANT OF THE GAME" like fucking Brentford come in for him

If Brentford offer him more money he will go there
Same as if we did that's how football finances work

Why would his promotion clause have been triggered twice?

It's raining outside and Sheffield United haven't bought or invented a machine to make it sunny. World hunger and poverty still exists, there is a hole in the Ozone layer and a crisis in Gaza. United sit there like a football club, doing absolutely nothing............JOKE CLUB, PATHETIC
