Why didnt we bring Mcburnie back?

Because at the time Tyrese Campbell was our number one.
In fairness to McBurnie he chose to be somebody else’s number one.
In hindsight McBurnie looks like a no brainer now. But how did we know Campbells form would drop off a cliff and Cannon would still be channeling his inner Rhian Brewster.

If you are implying that it’s all down to the management and fitness regime at Blades then I don’t buy it. There’s a lot of personal baggage that McB carried and he’s openly admitted that he needs to grow up. I suspect the year in Spain helped that process.

McGoldrick, Sharp, Egan, Baldock, and many more. All of those were fine with the player management.
Its not just McBurnie, every player will have some form of " baggage" which in fairness should left at home and not brought onto the pitch, perhaps a lack of Professionalism or guidance from the club itself but that's no excuse for the same recurring issues from back then to the present day.
Culture gets mentioned quite a bit on this forum so maybe the management of club needs to take a long hard look at how it operates and this circle needs to end.
