That is ridiculous. A Derby mate said he was a level above most in League One this season. He should be scary in League Two.

Really admire Didzys last two moves

Could have played at a higher level and probably commanded a higher wage. Could easily be playing in the championship this season

However in Derby and now County opted for something nearer home avoiding commutes and assume more time with his family, at a level where he’d be a top player, playing every week and probably really enjoying himself.

A fantastic way to spend the latter years of your career (Kyle Walker take note…)

Absolutely fantastic interview from Sheffield United Way.
I'm not sure if they share the acclaim on things like this but well done to Nick and YorkBlade
I love it and I love Dids.

Honestly this one has taken over 12 months to secure and when we did I couldn't do it! Nick did a magnificent job and we were delighted with how nice Didzy was.

What a guy Didzy is... i'll be going to watch him next season as i live not far from meadow lane

on a side note... Didz x Langstaff could tear up League One, let alone the division below... I hope county absolutely batter the league including wrexham

What a great guy. It's brilliant when your heroes turn out to be humble, decent people. Could have listened to another half hour.
One thing I would've liked to be discussed though is Didzy's role in taking the knee before the first lockdown game against Villa - I'm sure I read somewhere at the time that he played a part in this taking place .

Me too, but don't be surprised when Wrexham trump them with some signings.
Managed to get Palmer, Mullin and Foster etc. to drop into non-league.
With added global fame and bigger sponsorship deals, they'll pull in some League 1 players for sure.

Wouldn't be surprised if both clubs go straight through.
Play offs for both as an absolute minimum

True… as we all know though putting a whole new side together and expecting them to perform immediately has flopped many times in the past, even if the players are all quality, i could see the finance and the fame going to their heads and doing exactly that

IMO Wrexham’s best bet is to do a newcastle and sign a few standout quality additions, rather than complete re-haul of the squad, it’s probably a safer bet tbh

Agreed, but i would say that both Notts C and Wrexham squads without any signings are already top 10 L2 squads.

The gulf between the bottom of L2 and NL is vast due to the 2 up, 2 down rule.

Maybe although with Wrexham they could stumble about a bit in League 2. Salford thought they could smash their way up the leagues but appear to have hit a bit of roadblock in League 2. I am sure they will squeak into League 1 eventually though.

It starts getting more serious money wise when you go League 1 and above. The rewards are not there either as you barely get any increase in TV revenue.

I feel like I need to choose the correct setting for this interview that is fitting of the man. The bogs at work just won't do for this one

A brilliant interview. Well done Nick. It sounded like a relaxed chat over a pint rather then a formal interview. Didzy was just great and fully deserving of all the praise he has been getting from all quarters. Never thought I'd say I will look out for Notts County results but I will for the next two seasons. One of our best signings ever.

Just listened to the interview. What a lovely bloke he is! Definitely makes my “XI of soundest Blades”.

Was nice to hear him be so positive about the club and say he’s going to try and get to some games next season. He won’t need to bring any beer money.

Great man, great player, we were lucky to get him at the best part of his career really and hugely instrumental in going up and then doing so well up there. I remember when he came on trial and our fans were like why do we want a 0 year old released by Ipswich! The rest is history! Fair play to Wilder also for signing him when others were hesitant, he's the sort of player every club wants more of as a pro. Wish him all the best at Notts, always liked Notts and I think they'll go up again this season.

His story has got to be one of the best in the FL.

He's been down in the dumps over and over again, yet still comes back fighting and winning wherever he goes.

Wouldn't surprise me if he goes on to do the same as a manager and Blades/Notts legend

His two goals at Dull and the writing was on the wall.
Still keep watching that blades promo video of all the goals with the music.
