David McGoldrick

His finishing has improved as time has gone on, though he did score outside the box against Burnley and Hull as I recall for us.

Like how he out the lad on his arse just before he top bins it!

Would he make your all time blades 11??
Jesus what a question! I'm 30 years old, I don't think I'd be informed enough to make an all time 11 without being laughed out the door 😂. He's definitely up there with the favourite blades players I've seen. My top 5 would probably be Morgs, Duffy, McGoldrick, Sharp, Bashy. Hard to leave so many players out though.

Shame you missed Curry, Woody, Badger, Hockey, Deane, Agana, Stan the man, Edwards, Hodges and all

With the justification you've only really seen 20 odd years of The Blades your team would be as valid as anybody else's.
I'd still try and push for a place for Colin Morris in my team, probably no justification for him to be in the squad talent wise but I remember him so fondly as being a guy who could create something albeit in the lower leagues.

I'm early 30s too. Would love to include him, but Gibbs-White & Ndiaye were phenomenal in that role behind a CF.
I'd play a front 3 with those two behind Beattie or Leon Clarke (superb, albeit only for half a season).

Bumped into Clarke in Nursery Tavern on a match day when he was dropped from the squad, lovely chap, could sink a few 😂

Colin Morris wud be in my team all day long .
Edwards and Hatton wouldn't have had the goals without Morris.
I'd have peter beagrie on the left wing , Morris on the right, we would create chance after chance .

I'm 34 and we haven't seen many top strikers in our lifetime, I'd probably say didzy and sharp the best , Beattie and good few months form from Hulse! Very slim pickings.

No Sharp? You wild man

In picking a best Blades team since 1988 (when I got my first season ticket) picking Didsy means leaving out Tony Agana and Billy Sharp as obviously BrIan Deane is the other striker nailed on.

If we're being sentimental, sure. And then McGoldrick gets in too.
But if we're picking the highest level performers I've witnessed, then neither of them do. Despite being outstanding Blades, both legends.

No mentions of Flo or Kabba, anyone for Morgan at the back?

Mcgoldrick David is an anagram of David mcgoldrick..not many people know that..I'll get me coat

If we’re talking about best players we’ve seen in a Blades shirt, Paul McGrath walks (or, rather, limps) into my top 5.
I know some will disagree on the grounds that McGrath wasn't here too long, but PM was several cuts above most players who've worn our shirt. Superb doesn't come close to describing just how good a player he was......same goes for Cowans and Speed. We've had some good 'uns UTB

Best players that wore the shirt, or best players whilst actually wearing the shirt? If the former, then Ian Rush is probably in the top 5 😂

McGrath was amongst the best players to have worn the shirt. Even for those few games right at the end of his career he looked so far ahead of everyone else on the pitch. Truly world class, and I don’t think any other player who has played for the Blades has reached those levels with the possible exception of Kyle Walker in the last 2 years.

Imagine what he could have been if he hadn’t been a drunk. I was talking to one of his former teammates at Villa recently and he was telling me about the routine of up to 8 pints before a home game.
