I still can't work out what he was thinking. He saw it all. It wasn't like he thought there was an offside or foul. He moved it specifically to the 6 yard box

Must have thought the ball had gone out for a goal kick - he looks away at a teammate then when he looks back another Birmingham player is possibly in his eyeline for where the keeper picks the ball up. Not making excuses for him, it's a ridiculous gaffe - would be up there with Luke Thomas losing an uncontested drop ball for us as all-time boneheaded plays had he done it for us.

That clip is great. Love the way Peck does a proper double-take. I also can't see a single Birmingham fan react to it!

I love Peck's 5 second delay to react after seeing what happened. Really was too mental a decision to believe.

Watched ITV highlights this morning.

Commentator said after Peck missed - "Birmingham will feel that justice has been served"

What!?!?
I heard that and the only explanation I can come up with is that the commentator hadn't realised what had happened , thinking Birmingham had been "hard done to" and not that is was the most blatant penalty ever ,, I doubt many Birmingham fans in the ground actually realised what had happened if you watch it back on the highlights they are in mid chorus of " keep right on" there is no interruption to the song as Robinson touches the ball as there would be if they realised they had conceded a penalty,, also on the highlights I like the utter surprise in Chris Morgan's voice when he says " it's a penalty"

It wasn't handball though really. Strictly by the law it is, but in the spirit of the game, it was a mistake not a purposeful move to gain any advantage.

Adam Davies with the ball at his feet is a good enough substitute for Robinson leaving. Very C-3PO-esque.
It’s kind of funny seeing a full grown man be that frightened every time he has to do his job.

After playing 15 games this season where he’s had to both control and play the ball on numerous occasions the poor fucker is gonna be in therapy all summer.

In his defence when he first came back into the side I thought and still think his distribution up field is much better than Coopers. He isn’t awful with the ball but if keeps getting it back because those in front of him can’t decide what to do with it then an error will eventually come.

Cooper is no great shakes on the ball either tbf, but I think he seemed more irritated at having to deal with ball to feet - as opposed to dread.
