Both the commentator and co commentator Martin Keown (ex Villa) on Talksport said it was a little unlucky for Villa but probably the correct decision by VAR.

On Sky they also said it was definitely a foul
but the argument would be whether a different phase of play had occurred
The thinking was the ball had barely left the area, so it was in the same phase of play.

So agree....unlucky Villa but it was the correct decision to disallow it.
