There are so many inaccuracies, lazy stereotypes and patronising language in that article I genuinely don't have the time to pick them all apart one by one.

I think this US Soccer Guy should probably come to Bramhall Arena himself to see if the Sheffield Redsocks can perform a miracle and stay in the World Super Premierleague Series against all the odds.

a bit of artistic licence going on there . who wrote it? Barbara Cartland?? ancient ground?? F**k off pal :D
we still make some of the best steel in the world. 'special steel' it is rightly called, not 'monkey metal'.. we leave that for the Chinese. we are also big on ceramics. ask NASA ;)

i actually enjoyed reading it. I had to imagine that i was a bearded hipster with full sleeve tattoos and a soya coffee substitute otherwise i would have seen right through the pretentious tripe. That said anything that paints a positive ( mostly ) picture of the blades works for me

Try googling "Iraqi Supergun" for how recently we've been making guns;) .
The article is drivel and just perpetuates Northern stereotypes which I thought had been consigned to the past. Even the photographs have been chosen to show a dowdy northern landscape. The Sheffield skyline photo is one of the worst I've ever seen. And where's that chimney, smack in the middle, belching out smoke?
The chimney is the incinerator next to the parkway

Shurrup you fool !!!! A couple of good old jolly folk songs in an old working men's club just before neet shift starts an tha's gorra bloody good hit musical there or in Yanky land..

I would imagine the author had done some research before they wrote the article. Probably started by watching the " Sheffield a city on the move " film to update themselves.

ESPN does tend to have shit writers for them to be honest.I prefer Bleacher Report or someone else.

What a strange article, part jumpers for goalposts part pashun while being total bollocks, I hadn't realised living in Sheffield was so absolutely depressing, its probably a good job that we're not the gun manufacturing capital of the world anymore as we would have surely shot ourselves.
