Couldn't agree more with all the sentiments posted above. The inexcusable slowness of those responsible for acknowledging Sinfield's contribution in fighting Motor Neurone is shaming, so perhaps whoever's responsible for this 'error' can do whatever is necessary to right this wrong.

There are many things about today's world that I find painful and leave me speechless, perhaps recognising Sinfield's efforts
can go some way to correcting this side of life.

Ian Botham? :D
Yeah will give you that one so we are at 3 of 825 members, although I could go through the full list, I don't have that much spare time, it was amusing that both Plaid Cymru Lords weren't actually born in Wales. They had parents or moved there later but not Welsh by birth

I have long thought that Sinfield is more deserving of a knighthood than anyone else in public life, but I learned recently that it is not a deliberate slight. Sinfield already has an MBE, an OBE and a CBE - the last awarded in 2024. There apparently has to be a gap between an award of a CBE and a Knighthood, although I don't know how long that gap is. I expect that when that time period expires Sinfield will be knighted.

Didn't seem a lot of people there which is a shame, club could and should have done more . Collection on Saturday would go a long way to help

I cheered him on when he ran through Millhouses. I thought the streets would be lined with throngs of people, but that wasn't the case at all.

There were a few of us at Totley this morning, but the lack of publicity is very disappointing.View attachment 226764
The route will start at the home of Sheffield United at Bramall Lane before visiting Abbeydale, the home of Sheffield Collegiate CC, then Sheffield Tigers, passed Hillsborough and calling at the English Institute of Sport.

There's a good article at the BBC.

It's not too late to support this excellent cause.

It was on national and local news on Monday when he ran through Suffolk, but there was nothing like the numbers that turned out to watch the Tour of Britain cycling race
Those of us who did go to watch couldn't understand the lack of support
