Statement published on the club's website today:
Sheffield United is proud to announce a new partnership with ANDYSMANCLUB, after long-term club supporters Datagraphic, entered into a sponsorship agreement with the club and chose to donate the Kop naming rights to the men's mental health charity for the next two seasons.
The move sees the famous Kop Stand at Bramall Lane renamed in support of ANDYSMANCLUB, putting the charity's message in front of thousands of Blades fans at every home fixture throughout the campaign.
Emma Laycock, marketing and campaigns lead at ANDYSMANCLUB, said: "We're incredibly grateful to everyone at Datagraphic for their generosity and support. Choosing to donate the Sheffield United sponsorship to raise awareness of men's mental health is a fantastic way to help spread our message to thousands of supporters throughout the season.
"Football has an incredible ability to bring people together, and by using that platform to encourage conversations around mental health, Datagraphic is helping us reach men who may never have heard about ANDYSMANCLUB before. We hope this partnership not only raises awareness of the support available but also encourages more men to take that first step towards getting support and realise that it's okay to talk.
"Partnerships like this play an important role in helping us reach more men, break down the stigma surrounding mental health, and remind people that it's okay to talk."

It might be worth pointing out that by some measures 90%+ of men who commit suicide have already had some form of contact with potential support*, so making contact, talking is by no means a panacea, but this sort of initiative has to be a step (on a long road) in the right direction.

And if you don't think there's much work to do here's an official government document [the point being there was a strategy for violence against women and girls but not a strategy for violence against men and boys so if you are a male victim (that's a crap word) then you are a male victim of violence against women and girls. Georgina Orwell is rolling in her grave.].
