On papertalk on ss, said that villa have to sell this summer even though they will get large amount of money for champions league. Sounds like they are definitely close on Psr and that's probably why they want them to increase limit for last year. Can't see them keeping archer

Unless they can somehow buy him back and sell him straightaway for a profit, then I can’t see why they’d want him back. But after this season I’m struggling to see how they’d manage to pull that one off.

Because he doesn’t understand he’s simply using a years amortisation charge. Unless anyone actually knows the actual transfer fees both in and out, it’s a guess. Some automatically plump for the worst scenario though.

14 mill would be a lot for Boro, but as a kind of swap, would make a lot of sense for them. Rogers may have a higher ceiling, but at this stage I'm their careers on this division, I think Archer would have a much bigger impact.
