Down to Wilder taking account of the obvious deficiencies of last week ,
heeding the fans pleas and making the changes requested.
After last week he stubbornly defended not playing Donovan by saying
"I can't get 3 wingers into the team"
This week he selects those very 3 to whom he was referring.
And Donovan is MoM.
Last week he played his son-in-law (who was totally ineffective) ahead of Peck.
Then we got going with Peck.
Last week we played pedestrian unattractive footy - this week we moved the ball like greased lightening.
I think he read the room and realised that what the fans wanted would produce better footy.
I mean , playing BBD (or anyone) as a striker ahead of the hapless Cannon is not something he'd normally do.
He's taken the pressure off himself by listening - for once - and acknowledging that fans can make good points.
I hope he continues to be more flexible and less stubborn.
If so , I'll tolerate his chippy "I'm the feckin boss and it's never my fault" line ,
IF we produce performances like Friday night.

Actually makes my week when we win. I don’t like losing. What especially grinds my gears is losing or drawing because the manager is a stubborn know all. What really makes it even sweeter is that we win when that manager actually makes the right team selection for once and proves us critics are and have been correct. Can’t fit three wingers into one team ffs Funnily enough, you can, especially when one of them isn’t a winger and has, bar one game, played in the wrong position.

Pretty pathetic really that you can’t accept that sometimes Wilder gets it wrong and recently more than ever. As such he deserves calling out on it.

All he needs to do now is get over his obsession with being proved right about Hamza being a full back and I’ll be happy for him to try and get this team of geriatrics up via the playoffs.

He knows Hamza isnt a full back, he needs a fully fit one to move Hamza out though, which he doesnt have at the mo. Cant see this squad anywhere near the play offs to be honest.

Realistic appraisal in my opinion. I thought he might have shifted Tanganga across first or stuck Burrows on the wrong side. But then again having seen Tanganga having difficulty on that side before with a ball over the top, maybe it’s a case of he’s buggered whoever he puts there.

Realistic appraisal in my opinion. I thought he might have shifted Tanganga across first or stuck Burrows on the wrong side. But then again having seen Tanganga having difficulty on that side before with a ball over the top, maybe it’s a case of he’s buggered whoever he puts there.

Tanganga can't play RB hes a bomb scare there.

Great win, played well from the offer and almost for the full 90 which isnt often we do that, we never looked in danger for conceding, just a shame we couldnt get a another 1 or 2 against a poor wrexham, the scoreline flattered them and I think we would have gone on to tonk them if the ref did his job and gave the stone wall pen (bottled it).

Credit to the players and wilder for pulling it out, suprised how well Aywe & BBD worked together. Some great pressing.

Theres no coincidence that iur midfield is starting to look a bit better and back 4 more protected now that Phillips is starting to get a few games under belt and fitter (hope that ankle injury doesn't put him out).

We need do need to find another Donovan alternative on the right side and fill our last loan spot.
