Enjoyed that, a deserved 3 points after a good first half and professional second half.

They were awful, whoever their fitness coach is needs sacking. They made us look like a squad of svelte athletes.
Thought there might be some sliver of a reason we played them off the park.

What a load of baloney.
People who love & support are perfectly entitled to ask for better decisions from the manager and performances from the team.
Sir Christopher heard what he arrogantly refers to as "noise from playstation managers" ,
Followed it ,
And hey presto , a performance that was 1000 times better than last week ,
Despite Bamford being unavailable.
Here's me thinking the players, manager and staff deserve some credit for that win, but no I was wrong.
It's all down to you and your ilk with your expertly crafted tactical insight and selection prowess that has influenced our stubborn, mardy dinosaur of a manager.
Bravo sir

Pleased with the result, and first half performance in particular was excellent. There was a major improvement in the level of effort put in, especially in how we pressed in the final 3rd. We put them under the cosh, forced a bunch of errors, and dominated play for an extended period as a result. Such an improvement on the passive, timid approach we've seen in prior games.

I wanted to give Ayew some credit on the goal. He makes a smart run to reach the ball ahead of the defence, but what he does after that is even better for me. His first touch takes him into space in the box, but away from goal.

The fact that he manages to get a shot on target from this position, having never looked at the goal after bringing the ball down, is a major sign of his ability. It's tremendously difficult to accurately gauge your position relative to the goal while not facing it, so him managing to do so is very impressive. We obviously benefit from here by the keeper making a pigs ear of the save, but credit to BBD for being right place, right time to turn in the rebound.

Absolutely did enough first half where a bigger lead wouldn't have been unfair. It's a shame we couldn't maintain that early intensity, but they were so poor that us letting off the throttle didn't ultimately matter. I was a bit tense through the 2nd half though - while we were comfortable, any small mistake on our part, or piece of good fortune on theirs, would have cost us 2 points that we certainly deserved.

Hopefully we can continue to perform like last night, especially that first 30 mins or so. I'd really like for us to be able to expand that intensity to a greater portion of a match too - better teams than Wrexham will cause us a bunch of problems if we ease off like we did in the 2nd half last night.

Overall, many positives to take from ut though. Donovan was excellent, thought Chong did okay too. Hopefully that's just a starting point for improved performances.

Pressed wrong button and gave you a like, sorry CW and the lads have screwed your weekend up.
Call Aston max and 54yr old blade up and go for a beer and all cry into it together.
Actually makes my week when we win. I don’t like losing. What especially grinds my gears is losing or drawing because the manager is a stubborn know all. What really makes it even sweeter is that we win when that manager actually makes the right team selection for once and proves us critics are and have been correct. Can’t fit three wingers into one team ffs Funnily enough, you can, especially when one of them isn’t a winger and has, bar one game, played in the wrong position.

Pretty pathetic really that you can’t accept that sometimes Wilder gets it wrong and recently more than ever. As such he deserves calling out on it.

Are you one of the cult, that believes every decision he makes is inevitably correct?

All he needs to do now is get over his obsession with being proved right about Hamza being a full back and I’ll be happy for him to try and get this team of geriatrics up via the playoffs.

The message I'm getting here is that you know CW quite well as you have in depth insights to his character traits, or have I misread you? 😏

Cheers , no problem , happy to help the hard of thinking , for free
I do give him credit for acknowledging that help by implementing some of it

Any striker worth his salt always knows where the goal is. The posts (unlike the ball and the players) never move.

He was facing away but right on the edge of the area looking directly at the point of where the semi circle meets the edge of the area. From there, you know exactly where the goal is.

Fair play though, it was a decent effort.

Have you ever seen a chubbier championship team than Wrexham? Doyle, Rathbone, Smith, the 19 who came on all made Hamer look like Twiggy.
Smith & Rathbone have always had that stature, short and stocky.
Its just an excuse to downplay our great performance. Masterminded by the bloke you hate most.

Try harder pal, it’s not even good trolling.

Blades have won and yet you’re on here trying to cause arguments with people. Must be a fun life you have.

Just pointing out where you are wrong. Must really stick in your craw the fact weve won and masterminded by Wilder. Do try to smile.

Who knew BBD & Ayew upfont was our best side ? Not you that IS a fact!
Beat available team.
Bamfords

I knew BBD would be better as a striker than as a winger coz he was shit as a winger.
I know Cannon is useless , but Wilder normally picks him.
Thank God he saw sense and didn't start him.
Campbell runs like a waddling duck , apparently due to fear of snapping his hamstring.
In those circs , why nothing try BBD & Ayew ? Couldn't be worse than Wilder's usual suspects.

No you didn't you lying front bottom . Save your waddling duck crap about Campbell, ive already read it on another thread and it isnt working with me. Maybe with your fellow cabbages. We won, was good, down to Wilder. Suck it up dickface.

The way it panned out reminded me of this 1-0 win at Stoke in 1990; I could imagine Wilder saying, "Well done lads, you deserved it overall!" to the team in the dressing room afterwards, exactly like Bassett does here:

No need for personal abuse.
Not down to Wilder.
Down to Wilder taking account of the obvious deficiencies of last week ,
heeding the fans pleas and making the changes requested.
After last week he stubbornly defended not playing Donovan by saying
"I can't get 3 wingers into the team"
This week he selects those very 3 to whom he was referring.
And Donovan is MoM.
Last week he played his son-in-law (who was totally ineffective) ahead of Peck.
Then we got going with Peck.
Last week we played pedestrian unattractive footy - this week we moved the ball like greased lightening.
I think he read the room and realised that what the fans wanted would produce better footy.
I mean , playing BBD (or anyone) as a striker ahead of the hapless Cannon is not something he'd normally do.
He's taken the pressure off himself by listening - for once - and acknowledging that fans can make good points.
I hope he continues to be more flexible and less stubborn.
If so , I'll tolerate his chippy "I'm the feckin boss and it's never my fault" line ,
IF we produce performances like Friday night.
