Brewster is the experiment of what would happen if you put a fan up front. He’s totally out of his depth at this level. I don’t think he knows the difference between being football aggressive where you use your body and do everything to get the ball, and just plain stupid aggression like when he does stupid things like get sent off.

I do like him as a lad, and when he has a shot or something I am rooting for him massively because we are desperate for him to do well, especially how he seems to be the target from the pigs in recent years… would fucking love him to stick to them next week

H-T Blackburn 0 Sheff Utd 1

It's been like many of our matches this season.
We still don't look like a great team that is top 2 material.
However we do look so solid, especially in defence, we seem to win every cross, so corners are never a threat.
We always look comfortable as though we're playing in 2nd gear.
It's funny but we do have this look that we could win almost all our matches 1-0, it's not convincing but so effective.

Man of the match contenders for us are Vini Souza, Rak Sakyi and the defence as a whole.

Vini Souza has outshone Arblaster making himself busier with some excellent tackles and he's so calm almost casual when he receive the ball under pressure. He's probably been our best performer in that 1s half.

Rak Sakai deserves a mention because he's so positive but unpredictable.
He's actually been our main weapon/ threat to try to score.

I honestly think it's stubbornness from both him and the club. Both trying to justify the price tag and not admit Liverpool could very well have completely had our pants down. I'm in agreement, really like the lad but it just is not working for him here. It's not doing us or him any favours. Go somewhere where he can shine more, get his confidence up, fuck it loan him out if we have to but it isn't working for him at united.

The problem with loaning him out is it currently offers zero benefit to the club.

Why would we want him to get his confidence up during his loan spell because after the loan...he's out of contract and not even our player.
Also no loan club would even pay 25% of his wage (£10,000 a week), so we wouldn't be saving any meaningful money.

It's better to have him than have no one, even if it's to come on for the last 15 minutes as sub, especially with all the mid week matches being played.

Ohhhh Moore almost scored.

Brilliant cross from Burrows.....great header from Moore.....into the corner with power giving their goalie no chance
....but their defender rushes back and managed to clear it off the goal line.

Should have been 2-0.....then it would have been game over.

Probably right on the loan side of things. Honestly I'd rather just sell him on. Accept the loss, take the L, move on. He needs another club, unless he's content being a last resort and just banking the cash. He's not a regular squad starter for me personally.

Jesus. First touch from Gilchrist then.

Get in!

Had to put that away.

We’ve been the best team despite our obvious deficiencies.

For all you whinging miserable lot, here’s some positivity (you won’t like it)
Moore been excellent today- proper centre forward play and it’s clear this is how Wilder wants him playing.
O’Hare - done so brilliant defensive work, tracking back and helping out Burrows.

We are in the Championship. Show me a team that does not have ‘obvious deficiencies’ - you just see ours because you watch us every week.
If we didn’t have ‘obvious deficiencies’ we’d not be in this league.

Excellent goal, nice finish from Campbell, 2-0 game over

The match has gone to plan. It was our early goal that did it.
We've generally sat back but not given Blackburn a sniff.
The BBC website still shows that Blackburn have yet to have single shot on target.
We've done plenty of defending but Cooper has hardly touched the ball.

Moore has done better in a 2, Ohare has done better off the wing, think that's what alot of people was calling for tbh lol

Most of the vocal minority here have been slagging them both for weeks and wanted them dropped.
They've looked poor in most games for a few weeks because we've not played to their strengths, hopefully Wilder will stick with 2 up top from now because we look much more balanced

We are making basic errors in possession through carelessness very frequently today.

Basic ball control should be a given at this level.

It will happen now and again but it has been very frequent today.

Players turning over possession by trying threaded passes that get intercepted are fine. It’s expected. But simple passes or walking into trouble in dangerous areas is just not needed.

Play the percentages. That’s what I’m saying.
