If my 2penneth means anything to anyone.
Baptiste - tie him down to a 10 year deal and play him more.
Donovan - can see the talent, lets hope he cracks on now and becomes out loan superstar
Cannon - fair play, good performance, need to see more of it if he stays and plays.
RND - I dont get people's dislike of him, few years back he was our best defender, hes fit again and a good player. Id try and extend his contract for a year. Great squad player, especially if we do 352 on occassions
Campbell - needs to buck his ideas up.
Mcguinness - if hes not on mega bucks keep him
Rothwell - very very very steady. New coutts maybe?

Could go on, but thats filled me with a lot of confidence tonight. I was worried before the start of the season and after birmingham, but last two performances have been good and we're getting better.

Energy levels seemed a lot better tonight. And as someone has said previously, lots of options in most areas of the pitch. Competition for places is exactly where we should be.

Excellent performance 👏. Baptist and Mcguinness were exceptional. Think we have to give Philip Jones a big shout out with his coaching. Well done blade's, Jimmy fleck, Jan arge will be crying tonight 😢

OA was a real disappointment for me. Poor on the goal, lax in possession, not going in for stuff, out of position. Carried by Phillips really and not at all sure why (other than the obvious) he’s seemingly number 2 or 3 in pecking order. Would be back to the reserves for me!

Donovan sharp and fun, McCallum just does everything right, Rothwell looking leaner and promising, and defence looked solid. RND threatened to maraud now and again, but seemed to loose heart and check back. Not quite back to old.

Overall, better than expected. B+

Agree with much of this. Although I’ve never been convinced by RND, I thought he had a good game tonight.

Thought Baptise was very good, as was Donovan and McGuinness.

Philips looked reassuring and calm on and off the ball.

COH looked lively and had some lovely touches to move the ball forward.

Blaster looks like he’s making progress, and on that performance (tin hat on) I’d keep Canon.

Not wanting to end on a negative but… WTF has happened Campbell?! He’s a shadow of his former self. If that’s all he has to offer this season, we desperately need another striker

Good to see the squad take a step forward together tonight. Not to get carried away, but some real positives against a much changed blackburn side who looked poor for lots of it.

Baptiste in his first start against championship opponents (right?) Looked good, strong and unphased.

What i like about Donovan is he has that arrogance to keep going, keep trusting his ability, even when things dont work out. He will have games where things just dont come off but if we keep supporting him, I think we will get some really good moments from him this season.

Well taken goal from Cannon as well. Should have had a couple.

Bring on our next game and also the next round!

We played some good, front foot football tonight with some decent performances from the fringe players. Doherty impressed, RND was solid and Baptiste repeatedly showed great composure. Chuffed for Donovan too, his passing is a bit wayward but he did well tonight and that was a really composed finish for the winner. A proper enjoyable cup-tie.

RND.. wow..

Not seen him be that good since he had Brennan Johnson in his back pocket in the 2nd leg of the Play offs 5 years ago.

If he’s going to be that good every game sell Burrows, keep RND
