Our biggest weakness last season was we simply didn't have the money to compete with most of the other clubs strength in depth.
Not with the number of tactical substitutions now allowed in the Prem.

How many games did we lose last season because the other team could bring on 3 or 4 fresh attacking first team players for the last 15 min's ?
I’d been in the pub long before 75 minutes all last season. Still got the beer belly to prove it 😂

I hope he's nearly ready to play more, looked decent for the u21's. Probably his best position would be as a wide forward but I think he has played centrally and we don't have much else in a position I think is going to be a problem for us till at least January.

I could imagine him being very effective centrally coming on at the end of games, given how we have been setting up over the last 20 minutes. You can see with McCallum and Seriki being used as second half substitutes, we are going to really stretch teams on the counter attack. At the sametime, given our issues with injuries, I hope they take as long as needed to get him into proper shape.

Looks promising, I thought he came off a bit early, as did brooks as the two of them just found a burst and were creating chances. He seems hungry to shoot and watching him for the u21's, he can finish so I think he will get up and running soon enough.

I didn’t think he had the best game - in fairness his first start. But he could have had a goal

I think he’s potentially not a focal point striker like Moore is - and might be better suited to a wider forward role. I think we (and he) looked much better second half though.

No he didn't, nobody did really. Just more a comment of he looks like all he wants to do is get a shot off and given the bits I've seen I think he will get goals. He did no worse than Moore has this season, both limited by how we play imo.

No service from midfield. Has plenty of pace (much quicker than Moore) but needs ball played through for him to run onto. Think he looked promising.

Got better in the second half as the team as a whole got a bit better, watched Wilder 's reaction and he felt we were playing too many sideways and backwards passes which might explain why Campbell had a quieter first half, had a decent shot though.

Second half he always showed for the ball and tried to lead the line (which is usually Moore's job), think he was unlucky to hit the bar with a difficult shot, had to hit it down into the ground from around shoulder height, but there is the argument that Brooks should have squared the ball to him rather than going for goal himself.

Edit: I would like to see him start more games this season, as we will come up against teams which would suit him more than Moore.

He didn't get service, but also just seems to wait for it to happen. Contrast when Kieffer came on. He was all over winning it, making it happen.
Different players and different remit when they’re on, which is the point really as whilst having like for like replacements is great, we also need to have the ability to change it when things aren’t working.

As BladeInIreland said, he looked promising and Moore also changed things when he came on

Moore and Campbell both unlucky not to score and great to have that competition.

Even better that Wilder is being proactive with changes, not running players into the ground will hopefully reduce injuries

Yeah I'm happy it being mixed up. From the tiny bit we've seen, I'd have two Kieffers. But last night wasn't the night to properly gauge Campbell by either, and in that situation he didn't help change the game.

Not sure, Campbell could’ve been walking off to a standing ovation with two goals. It’s fine margins

To be honest it was probably more of a Moore game but it’s good he had a bit of a break. Campbell is more of a second half impact player

Seemed when Brewster came on, he'd have given TC (can we call him that??) better service.
Last night he was part of a dull night , KM livened it it more. Other days it will be different.

It breaks my heart to see Tom Cannon (heavily linked to Blades) scoring 4 goals for Stoke on the same night one of their rejects was lumbering around the Bramall Lane pitch in a Blades shirt.

I would’ve been tempted to put Brewster on for O’Hare again as I think he offers something different. Links play well and looks to get forward. But when Brewster came on we were also playing more centrally because we wanted Moore involved in the middle linking up play.

Campbell could benefit from having a link up man like Moore or Brewster feeding him. O’Hare would need to be more physical and deeper to play the same way.

We switch from feeding Brooks out wide to going more through the middle when Brooks came off

He will make as much impact as a flat battery in a vibrator- he’s bloody awful and was bloody awful at Stoke

Campbell ( and others were poor last night ) for me the lad doest’t look match fit , when Moore came on we looked a lot better.
We went to a front 2 with Moore & Brewster and looked more dangerous so I suppose you can factor that in .
There were quite of the Facebook brigade clambering for Moore to be dropped for Campbell after his hat trick in the U21s , but as I said that league is a million miles of Championship football

Hard to judge Campbell on what was a difficult night for the forward players generally . Passing was poor throughout and gave possession away too easily so not the best match to make his 1st start.
