The crux is that we fans (and CW, and the backroom staff, and the players) deserve better. Whether we don't own shares, we're all
shareholders in the club, having invested enormous time, effort, money and emotion in the club over the years. Unlike the shareholders of other companies who only want to see the value of their shares rise and pocket the money, football fans are a different breed. If KMac wants to flog United off to the highest bidder, he'd do well to remember Kipling's poem '
Norman and Saxon':
