The Star: An open letter to Sheffield Utd owners

I'd love it if the owners came out and said that they were hoping to get talking about a deal, but hadn't had chance because they've been too busy composing responses to Wilder, Shield, Biggs, Danny04 Woodwardfan and many more about the ownership and manager status

Woodwardfan blocked them so he may never know

Blatant plagiarism as Danny04 does a Biggsy and rips off Woodwardfan.
:shark:

If only a few others had done the same Foxy :(

It's never too late! Wilder deserves more than two hours singing in Bristol sunshine - surely!!

By the way my posts about securing Wilder go back to March 2017. My calls for action by fans back to mid-April. The situation needs a big gesture and within hours thousands would add their names to any sort of message of support for our manager.

Foxy is in prime position and for obvious reasons I'm not, even on here. Nor have I any networks to tap into.

Suggest Foxy contacts all SUFC supporters groups (including Bladesmad, SUFC Supporters Club etc.) to coordinate a letter or petition.

I think thousands would join it within days.

Dannys article probably won't ever be read by the actors or their advisers in this sorry saga, but at least he's done everything he can and put on record the fans views as we sit here waiting for zig n zag to pull their fingers out of their arses, act grown up, come to compromise and most importantly, tell CW what the state of play is and what budget he has to play with.

It would also be good if they could try to keep the fans updated where POSSIBLE though I appreciate that confidentially clauses may restrict certain information being aired to the mass public at this stage.

He's just asking the owners to communicate with the manager of our club so that he can do his job, nothing more. FWIW a thumbs up from me Danny Boy.

Just purely out of interest...how many clubs have already set their budgets for next season? Asking for a friend, like...

I would imagine most if not all will have set the summer budget by now as that is what any sensible progressive business would do well in advance. It gives the manager as much time as possible to identify targets and get deals verbally in place before the summer transfer window opens again.

Only those who are still involved in the play offs, those without a manager, or those who are having ownership wrangles / boardroom coming and goings, will still be unsure of definite budget.

Yes. Sat on his arse all day doing nothing, Foxy should be doing it.

Hopefully we will get an update today, when someone overhears someone in a sandwich shop

One thing we already know from this morning is that the boardroom issue would have been sorted by now, due to thousands of fans signing a bit of paper if only one bloke had coordinated things.

Let's hope the readership of the Star is more proactive than the membership on here.

And what is the aim?

If it's to tell the board that a large percentage of supporters don't want Wilder to leave, we did that in Bristol, not that we needed to.

If it's to ask to be told more than has already been said - we'll be told that more will be said as they are able to.

What would the petition be about? Or petitioning against?

Good article/letter, if not stating the obvious!

I am sure that McCabe wants this sorting out ASAP, say what you want about him he is a Blade and he will not want to see his team screw up a great opportunity, that said, he wont want to just walk away with his hands in his pockets and why should he after the funds he has pumped in over the years.....maybe that's me stating the obvious!

The rumours flying around about what HRH wants to do with the club.....that he will sack Wilder anyway because of his outburst....relocation....shutting down the Academy....selling it on after he has stripped the assets etc, etc are all just that...rumours....and until one or the other comes out with something we will all continue to speculate because at the end of the day, only 2 people and their very close advisors have a Scooby what is happening.

For the love of God, Foxy - WILL YOU JUST BLOODY DO SOMETHING!!!!

The crux is that we fans (and CW, and the backroom staff, and the players) deserve better. Whether we don't own shares, we're all shareholders in the club, having invested enormous time, effort, money and emotion in the club over the years. Unlike the shareholders of other companies who only want to see the value of their shares rise and pocket the money, football fans are a different breed. If KMac wants to flog United off to the highest bidder, he'd do well to remember Kipling's poem 'Norman and Saxon':

"The Saxon is not like us Normans. His manners are not so polite.
But he never means anything serious till he talks about justice and right.
When he stands like an ox in the furrow – with his sullen set eyes on your own,
And grumbles, 'This isn't fair dealing,' my son, leave the Saxon alone.

Isn't that poem more about the victor and the vanquished ?
