Just a general note that it doesn't seem anything is imminent based on Wilders latest interview. Next week likely though,

Has there been a new interview? While they are out in Portugal?

If it’s the last one on the football heaven Website I think that ‘next week’ means this week?

But obviously that’s not looking likely

Only about 4 weeks left in the window.

We should set our sights on Billy, Leon, Lavery, Ched and Smith.

Anything else a bonus!

Yeah just seemed like "when we get back" type thing.

Seems like there are some closer than others because there were two groups, it was players coming in [when we get back-ish] and players coming in [before the end of the window].

Of course I could be reading into it too much haha

Reporting on Porktalk that according to their accounts, some players will have to be sold/leave the club in Jan to help balance the books. Some saying they have to address the balance sheet by some £15m

Now it's already been reported by Staton they we enquired about Winnall in the summer. Just wondering if come Jan and Winnall is fit, that this might be the catalyst and we might be back in for him?

Joao has signed a new contract. Don't think that Winnall has

World beater is Winnall, how do I know?

Well apparently, wendies are performing as well as they are WITHOUT their best 2 strikers.....and yes, loanee last season Winnall is included in this!

Pigs, continuing to re-write history and bullshit generation to generation.

They don't balance the books at Hillsborough, they cook them. I've heard from quite a few voices that Winnall is a bit of a bullying twat. I'm all for players having a bit of a nasty streak but not sure this guy would do anything at all for the squad.

To be fair of their entire squad i'd have Reach here in a shot.

(Not worth £15m though)

It's not really what you or I would go for though Liam

I personally think there's a player in Joao and that CW is the manager to get the best out of him

I mention Winnall only because Staton reckons CW has enquired

I'm merely pointing out i would agree he is their best, therefore most valuable player - but to be fair i only see what the headlines say because i'm not watching their games.

I agree Joao also looks like a good player, but can't see that happening now he's signed his new deal.

I was never questioning your post.

However good Winnall and Reach are (and they're not) I wouldn't help those blue and white bastards out of a hole.

Both (as well as Joao) will be miles & miles out of Utd's reach (haha) in terms of their salaries. Unless Weds are so desperate to get them off their books they'll be willing to take a massive (haha) hit and pay the difference in wages (which would somewhat defeat the purpose of the firesale) then I can't see any way that Utd could seriously be in with a shout of signing any of them. To be honest, whilst Reach has scored a couple of spectacular goals, none of them have exactly set the world alight during their respective stays and certainly aren't worth anything like their £25k+/week salaries

Would be a good Clarke replacement.

And after signing Madine, we'd barely raise an eyebrow at Winnall now.

The Star linking him with us again today. Regurgitated story from a while ago or anything in it?

The Star aren't linking us with him at all.....they said we were interested in him in the past. Had they said, Sheffield United will be on the alert or something along those lines then yes....but they didn't.

No, he's right.

Sheffield Wednesday’s Sam Winnall could leave the club before the end of the window, with rivals Sheffield United and QPR said to be interested. Meanwhile, defender Joost Van Aken will be staying at the club according to his agent. (Sheffield Star)

It actually says “Sam Winnall could leave the club before the end of the window, with rivals Sheffield United and QPR said to be interested”

Doesn’t say anything about the past.

Edit - Oops Reedy beat me to it

Erm...

There is unlikely to be a shortage of interest in Winnall, who spent last season on loan at Derby County. Sheffield United and Queens Park Rangers have shown interest in him in the past.
