I think the fact that the pigs are massively overperforming will naturally lead to many of them crawling out of the woodwork.

Imagine being a pig during our recent promotion seasons and the 9th placed PL season, I bet they thought the same.

I actually think we have a pretty balanced local radio team and they have a hard job to please everyone with 2 major teams and then the smaller teams dotted around the region.

Some of the callers are idiots but they can’t invent calls, if you’ve got something sensible to say and want people to hear it then call in, it might just take up the 10 mins that would normally go to the pitsmoor scrubber or mick the pig.

But that’s just it Houston, it’s not necessarily the people that call in, it’s the direction he steers the conversation towards. He creates some pig hysteria subject at the top of the programme and then sits back with a cigar on and the programme takes care of itself. Anyway, I’ve moaned enough on the subject. I won’t bother listening to him in the future so I will have nothing to moan about will I

Yes but instead of it being most days, it’s now probably once a month.

Think his age is taking its toll because when he does come on he repeats what he said the last time he was on. Still a character though, his voice and the way he talks often reminds me of Neil Warnock speaking.

When listening to our commentary against Watford they switched over to goal news from the Sty. I did note the tone and disappointment in Staton's voice when he was having to tell us how 'Sheffield Wednesday have thrown this game away' after Millwall had gone two one up. However, only a few minutes later he was sounding highly delighted and much more upbeat when Wendy had equalised. I suppose if he's a fan he finds it difficult to surpress his emotions. I dont listen to the evening program due to the dull content and I hate listening to Wendy fans.

I much prefer to pay £10 a month to watch Jimmy Shambler read out Nixon’s tweets from behind his paywall. It’s totally worth it because I’m in his third tier WhatsApp group.

He’s even befriended Danny Hall these days so we get exclusive 3 day old news from the local paper as well!!!
