They did show ambition by spending a load of dosh on Rhodes and Winnall. We know it was ambitious because of all the threads on here telling us about how ambitious they are and how our board was shit (whatever happened to the money, think Liverpool etc etc etc etc etc - still some think that way). But it didn't work, and look at them now. In deep shit. In serious FFP problems (they are at their 3 year limit for the next year unless they ship out a lot of wages), having to come up with ever more resourceful marketing schemes to get around FFP (surely you would think the Football League will be investigating D-Taxi's?), 16th in the table, looking over their shoulder (far too good to go down?).......

And yet we still get complaints that we are not ambitious and should be spending more. We are allowed to lose £13 million a year or £39 million over 3 years. We are in line to be losing circa £5 million this year (even with the sell on fees). Wolves have broken even for the last two years so they have been able to spend big but would have been in problems if they had not gone up this season or next. We are in control of our finances and I, for one, and thoroughly enjoying what we are doing with it.
