Great run, lovely cool finish. Will have done him the world of good.
Another goal scoring option for us now.

I really hope so, but I think he'll start sharp for no other reason than he has more experience (for whatever that means these days).Let's see. I think Jebbison gets the nod.
In the last two games he’s been a real handful for Dickie and Cresswell both really decent centrebacks.Jebbo was excellent today. Think the change of formation suited him. Most encouraging thing for me was that he bullied Cresswell. One hell of a prospect if he develops a nasty streak.
From what I've seen, Osula already has that aggressive nasty streak in him - so yes, if Jebbo develops one too they'll be a reyt handful in the futureJebbo was excellent today. Before his goal, he just ran into Cresswell twice with the ball nowhere near. For a 19 year old to be pulling out "old man" tricks is great, especially when he's one who has all the physical attributes. In the last two games he’s been a real handful for Dickie and Cresswell both really decent centrebacks.
I do wonder sometimes what influence having Billy, Didzy and Lester around the place during these lads formative years will have had. There’s 3 strikers there who know all the dark arts. Before his goal, he just ran into Cresswell twice with the ball nowhere near. why not try em both up top with illiman in the number 10 role behind em what have we got to lose now we aint going up playing this style of football still dont see what mcburnie gives us wins one or two headers but no pace no movement no threat as for the 3 centre backs rubbish that needed ditching ages ago get bodies further up the pitch and stop this defensive football crapThese two should be on the bench. I know they're still raw but their decent options to have on the bench when defences are tiring. Suppose Hecky prefers 3 defenders to attacking.
Anyone getting frustrated with the composure of teenaged strikers needs to get a grip. Composure will come with experience. We've seen both show their exceptional physical attributes the last few weeks. They're all action, pace and power, but lack composure as they finish. I hope we can continue to trust them and give them playing time and the composure should come.
I worry people are going to be frustrated with them because they've missed chances, but for me their performances, and the fact that they seem to be getting so many chances, have been very encouraging.
The big question is whether that experience should come in the PL with us or loaned out.Anyone getting frustrated with the composure of teenaged strikers needs to get a grip. Composure will come with experience.
Well said mate, people have to be patient as they are two cracking prospects but because they have not really had a good chance in the side they are snapping at shots, panicking all because they are desperate to score and do well, if it was the u21s they would have been tucking away the chances no bother… hopefully as they see more first team action they will settle down more and relax in front of goal which I’m sure they will because they are two top talents. We've seen both show their exceptional physical attributes the last few weeks. The Premier league has probably come a season too early for these lads. They might do a job coming on as subs, but not starters. The big question is whether that experience should come in the PL with us or loaned out.
Much depends on how much they can learn in the close-season & whether their mentality can cope with the increased challenge.
Deane arrived in L1 and was able to grow with us as we rose through Champ to PL 1988 to 1990 & beyond.
And Deane was obviously a rare talent.
Whether our 2 lads can progress even faster than he did is a big ask.
But for me , they are better prospects than the perennially injured Brewster , who may or may not return in good form after such a bad injury.
Surely Sharp is now too old.
And McBurnie is ok for back-up but not starting.
So a lot depends on keeping Ndiaye and/or the funds to sign a striker who will go straight into the first 11.
Intrigued to see where Hecky spends the limited cash available.
I tend to think we do need one striker to come in , even if Ndiaye stays , coz Ndiaye can be effective from midfield.
Is Billy still speaking to himOsula could become a real crowd favorite coming off the bench.
I remember the crowd appreciating Nade when he'd come off the bench and knock some defenders around. Osula is in far better shape but could have a similar impact to games.
He's very all action even for a teenager.
Need to get them practicing in Billy Sharp's garden all summer!
Billy needs to fuck off with his ranting at Osula. Billy would not have passed if he had been in that position. Is Billy still speaking to him
I thought Deane joined us in the 3rd division, and after we confounded the experts in the 2nd division, we went up to the 1st division, as runners up to Leeds on goal difference as Newcastle finished 3rd (or Newcastle finished league 1 a la the new description for 3rd?) on 80 points, 5 behind the top 2?The big question is whether that experience should come in the PL with us or loaned out.

Chris Morgan said the same on SUTV. Next year in the Premier League we will probably get a penalty for the keeper taking Osula out.Billy needs to fuck off with his ranting at Osula. Billy would not have passed if he had been in that position.
