Against a newly promoted team that hasn't been pulling any trees up we started with two similar players up top and looked like we were going long. Bit odd as I thought big man little man would have been better than two similar players with no pace for the knock downs. I'd have started Bamford and Donovan up top. The rest of it was a complete mess with nothing of note to give us any enthusiasm.

- Bamford and Cannon. Despite a couple of flicks from the pair of them it was an easy day for the lumbering lumps at the heart of the pretty poor Cardiff defence.
- The midfield of Rothwell and Peck is a disaster. Rothwell doesn't do anything, he's one lazy bastard and shouldn't be starting games at this level. Sydie still looks like his mind's on a move as his energy levels compared to last season are alarmingly bad.
- The defence would make a great coaching video in how not to defend. We got lucky with the ball ping ponging in the box and their strikers being so appallingly bad that we dodged several bullets through sheet luck.
- Basic ball control and passing seems to have deserted us. Midfield kept losing possession by simply giving the ball away. Not just them but every player looked like a pub player when it came to decision making and playing a simple pass.
- Training must be a joke. We see the little sweethearts rocking up at Shirecliffe giggling and fucking about but we never see them doing much else. The evidence is on the pitch where average and poor teams just play us off the park by doing nothing more than the basics.
- The manager made some mystifying substitutions today and it looked like he didn't have a clue how to try and beat a bad team so he packed the defence and hoped for the best.
