D-DAY

Looks like yet another Wilder Out thread with the same old discussion. People who want him out need to explain how his sacking could realistically improve the team.

If our remit is to finish outside the relegation places this season we're probably going to lose more than we win. We could lose today and finish 18th.

Sacking Wilder and getting someone else in isn't going to solve anything this season. Even with Pep in charge we wouldn't go up.

We've said it countless times, but we aren't going to sack Wilder no matter how many whining posts a minority put on a forum. The money isn't there.

If we can't afford to open the BLUT, we definitely can't afford to pay off Wilder and his staff and get someone like Cooper, Corboran or Challinor in - and then bring in the players they want. It isn't going to happen.

If anyone has a plan for a) finding the money to sack CW and his staff and b) can name a better replacement we can afford to bring in, please enlighten us.
Why is staying out of relegation this season the remit?
What's different this season to any of the upcoming seasons? Or different to us and the other 19 non-parachute teams in the league?

I used to like wilder in a presser .Now its all excuses players are tired and cant wait for the international Break, Now in this interview its been too long ? Chris man up FFS stick to the team and lay off the fans who are entitled to slate the club over underachieving and poor sometimes mind boggling subs

Wilder has to get his tactics and player selections spot on today and the players HAVE to put on a performance.

A defeat, or one of those lucky wins against the run of play, and I suspect everything turns and it’s the end for Wilder.

Strong rumours he was going to be sacked in the international break, surely he wouldn’t be able to survive another non performance against Lincoln today?
By strong you mean a bloke on twitter
No way was he getting sacked and no way will he get sacked if we lose this game and definitely not if win luckily

D Day. For me and 2 mates of similar age who have been going independently since our early teens D stands for DONE.

As in done with, finished. All 3 of us instead of the usual see you Saturday said, nah, not bothering. Not watching DROSS. Being DEPRESSED. Once again DISAPPOINTED

And whilst I’ve had it up to here with a bullshitting Prince trying to flog us to any fucker to get rid, Lying Yanks and their mates gambling on a quick flip for profit, taking my season ticket money then selling anything of value to claw back money they lost with their own stupidity, at the sharp end, the end that matters, the bit that I’m supposed to enjoy, the entire reason for visiting S2 there is the team. The team that I expect to play football to some semblance of competitiveness and competence. But it doesn’t. It doesn’t, I believe, because it’s managed by a bloke who is now a busted flush. Out of ideas. DELUDED. A manager who against all evidence thinks that Choudhury is a full back and that old unfit players can compete with younger athletes.

A manager who used to be able to pick up a rough diamond from a lower division and polish it. A manager who could innovate, who would put out a team to batter opponents not just hold them, but is now, let’s face it, outdated just like your dad, with his not trusting foreigners and sticking with his old mates.

At the sharp end who he brings in and who he plays and where they play is down to Wilder. At the moment it’s like watching a team at the end of the Adkins era.

I signed up to watch a team play football as I know it. I didn’t sign up to watch paint DRY.

And for all the Wilder lovers who will say, see ya, bye, supporters like you won’t be missed, don’t let the door hit your arse on the way out, you’re right. Individually I won’t be missed, but if Wilder carries on in the same way there will be more like me, becoming indifferent, losing interest and missing more matches until what atmosphere there is has gone and you’ll still be there singing “he’s one of our own” to a few hundred fans at Stocksbridge.

Today I hope we win. I hope it’s a good exciting game and Wilder turns a corner and plans to batter the opposition. I hope he rekindles my interest. But for now I’m DEFEATED and DEFLATED.

We've had to decimate our squad during the summer to comply with new spending rules and cope with the lack of parachute payments. Sold Brooks, Hamer and O Hare without bringing in equivalent replacements.

I had hopes of challenging for the playoffs pre-season but it's clear now that were are not the team we were. O Hare is a massive loss.

Whatever happened to "Win draw or lose...."

In a world where folk are ever closer to the breadline, it's understandable people are thinking about calling it a day. Factor in the "transactional" aspect is decent money, for absolute dross then I see why more and more are binning it.

But it's not "absolute dross". If you read comments of opposition fans we're bang average but not especially poor.

20 teams in the league are working on our budget. This is championship football on championship money. Should be CW bread and butter environment.
Makes you think doesn't it MK1 Wilder would be working miracles with this squad he had that bit between his teeth - cue MK3 Wilder do you think he isnt as arsed as he once was, not as motivated as he used to be? i relate it to me and my work 33 years service ... id take redundancy tomorrow, the closest i can relate to a Manager knowing he is getting a pay off, i get it he loves the club... but like any old relationship do you love them like you used to in the beginning? for me unless there is a marked improvement in performance id like him to move on. PFA Manager of the year to this? he has regressed badly

depends who eyes you are viewing the game from. from mine we have been awful slow predictable with the odd flash of good football

20 other teams in the division have not gone all in with new rules. Our signings have been diabolical

We knew that at the end of the season. Now we are in the same situation as everyone else.
Stating up as an ambition is a disgrace.

I know exactly how you feel. This is the first season for many many years that I’ve not bought a season ticket and many of the people we knew who sat around us have also not renewed.

For fans of my age who are also fans if Red Dwarf.

That's definitely smug mode from me today, as Kryten said!

Maybe, just maybe, Wilder knows a little more about football than some on here give him credit for.

Maybe the reduced budget and selling of his three best players has had a negative effect on the quality of the team?! Not one side has sold their three best players in one window.

It's a mid table season incoming at best saying all that. Sack Wilder and it will be a relegation fight.

I think as much id like to agree because I'm getting frustrated with the negativity I do think we need to just stick together.

Saying all that I've referred to some of our negatives fans as idiots today which I shouldn't have said. Apologies on that to anyone that read it.

They really aren't. We have never had it so good. Not just in this country but worldwide. Well ok we're closer to it than we were 20 years ago but that's not "ever".

My local workhouse is now 670k for a 3 bed terrace and my 13 year old niece isn't working as a labourer like my great grandfather was! While never had it so good for some when some things that were easily achievable aren't so much anymore is a bit of a stretch it's not as much as a stretch as this is a low!

Lucky our tiny Rosey and Bettis turned up pitch-side, for a change. With Billy and Jags doing the halftime interviews.. it is absolutely nothing to do with if we'd lost there are available legendary blades for the owner to announce he is replacing Wilder with, no pressure whatsoever....
