I think as much id like to agree because I'm getting frustrated with the negativity I do think we need to just stick together.

Saying all that I've referred to some of our negatives fans as idiots today which I shouldn't have said. Apologies on that to anyone that read it.
We're grown men arguing about football on the Internet. Idiot is pretty much a term of affection 😃

For fans of my age who are also fans if Red Dwarf.

That's definitely smug mode from me today, as Kryten said!

Maybe, just maybe, Wilder knows a little more about football than some on here give him credit for.

Maybe the reduced budget and selling of his three best players has had a negative effect on the quality of the team?! Not one side has sold their three best players in one window.

It's a mid table season incoming at best saying all that. Sack Wilder and it will be a relegation fight.
All due respect it was Lincoln for all there graft they never threatened two poor teams the ones in white much worse than the ones in red n white stripes
It maybe a reduced budget but it’s still a top 8 budget so mid table should be about right
We’ve just picked up dross and “bring em homes” on the frees n loans markets

First l heard was those two clowns on SU Way. Who proceeded to then bypass their own headline for stroking each others ego. The rest was purely supposition on here that today was crunch time.

I don't mind Nick tbf although he's not a patch on Hal. The other idiot that has basically replaced Hal is an absolute Clown.

Signing a midfielder to play at right back will also have an impact on the quality of the team.

Wilder has to share the responsibility of where the squad is at.

Don't worry the miserable blades will be back when we don't win a game which absolutely will happen because it's the championship...
I'm still here.
A welcome 3 points but if you can't surely be happy with that performance, first half was absolutely dreadful two poor teams that would have struggled against League one opposition. Second half was marginally better, Lincoln the worst side i have seen so far this season had absolutely nothing as an attacking threat.

There won’t be a D Day until the end of the season. The priority is to stay up, nothing more. Then we have a fantastic opportunity for a complete squad rebuild next season under a new manager and, preferably, a DoF and revamped recruitment team. Plans should already be taking shape for that.

Im far from convinced it's a top 8 budget and if it is it's full of players who Wilder hasn't signed who cost a lot.

It's not Wilder who's signed this dross. Just look at Bamford for how well he's done and for large parts Jairo has been class too.

Who is currently in the squad who wasn’t signed by Wilder?

Chong, Tangangs, McGuiness are the main three and between them they cost over ten million in transfer fees plus wages.

Hopefully we can get more out of Chong who clearly has ability. I'm actually a fan of McGuiness myself

Performances don't matter as much as results to a degree. We have had promotions where we looked not as goal happy as we did the long spell we had last season scoring 3 a game. I know which seasons I enjoyed more.

I think the championship is a particularly shite league so winning is 80% of the battle

When we’re talking about a top 8 budget we aren’t talking about transfer fees, we’re talking about wages. We are one of the top payers in the division. There are 3 players in the squad that Wilder didn’t sign, and he probably would have signed 2 of them. So the responsibility is absolutely his, and we should be capable of finishing where the budget says we should. If we don’t there are big questions to be asked about the management and recruitment.

Signed as cover for Seriki who is out injured for about six weeks and Hamza was quality last time there.

Why not sign an actual right back? It’s not like we were struggling at defensive midfield and needed Choudhury for cover there.

He’s not the only questionable signing either. Phillips was average at best last season when he actually played but was mostly injured. Why bring him back?

I was quite surprised at just how poor Lincoln were for a team who came up with 100 points. Compare that to our team who won the league with a similar point total the difference was night and day. Very surprised that they didn’t seem to have much pace out wide. Choudhury has been a bit of a weakness for us since his return and especially dodgy against pace so their set up suited him well.

Up until the move that broke the deadlock it was very much same old and as we were before the break. Loads of boring, dull and slow side to side passing with zero penetration. We were also fairly fortunate they missed an early free header. The goal was a nice move. Good ball out of defence that broke the midfield line into Bamford in the hole. From then it was well worked around the box until the eventual dummy and finish.

After the first goal we were extremely comfortable. I said to my mate once the goal went in, we either win this 3-0 now or spend 50 minutes camped in our own box. Thankfully we took control from that point onwards and realistically should’ve had 4/5.

There were still periods in the game where we seemed to lack defined patterns of play and resorted to a bit of hit and hope but the 50 minutes after the first goal were a lot better than the first 40. It still felt a bit strange and flat.

Lincoln really were awful though so I think people are getting rather carried away suggesting a play off push but it was a foundation to build on.

As a fan base we really need to stop this point scoring and one upmanship after every result. Ultimately we’re alll blades and want the best for the club. I personally don’t think wilder is the right man for the long term future of the club but I’ll be enjoying my beer tonight celebrating a win and an improved performance.

He wasn’t quality last time he was adequate at best in a team that was superior to this one.

He shouldn’t really be here.

Seriki is a fairly young and inconsistent right back who has unfortunately already had a few injuries in his career. We needed a backup for him so we signed Doherty. Who has been on a well documented decline and spiral of poor performances and unavailability for some time now. Wolves fans said he runs like he’s towing a caravan.

He’ll be on really good money. That money ought to have been used on someone more athletic than Doherty.

If the first backup right back had been a somewhere reasonable signing perhaps we wouldn’t have needed to take the contract on for a defensive midfielder who was on a reported 50 grand a week to be a second back up right back and use that money to sign another premier league attacker on loan

That’s also on top of Shackleton who won’t be on peanuts either.
