Im far from convinced it's a top 8 budget and if it is it's full of players who Wilder hasn't signed who cost a lot.

It's not Wilder who's signed this dross. Just look at Bamford for how well he's done and for large parts Jairo has been class too.
Choudhury
Rothwell
BBD
Cannon
Ayew
Doherty
Riedaweld
Phillips
Kitching
McCallum
Campbell (Gave a new contract)

All signed by Wilder, so lets stop with this nonsense that Wilder didn’t sign this dross. Take away the ex Academy players only 3 players in todays squad were not signed by Wilder.
Also Jairo has never been class for us.

Which players today starting and on the bench didn't Wilder sign?

Edit. Sorry Broomhall Blade said this!

I did go and we won 3-0. What's the problem?

Because there is not a cat in hells chance we will be involved in any promotion challenge. That first half performance yesterday was as bad as anything i have seen in years against really poor opposition, the 2nd half was only marginally better.

It is a top 8 budget meaning we can offer decent wages better than 15 other clubs
also Giro ( by name and should be by nature) we should never have gone near him again
What’s point him playing 2/3rds of a game then losing when he goes off
Anyway his tenure towards the H&M diet has certainly blown him out of all proportions

I'm still here.
A welcome 3 points but if you can't surely be happy with that performance, first half was absolutely dreadful two poor teams that would have struggled against League one opposition. Second half was marginally better, Lincoln the worst side i have seen so far this season had absolutely nothing as an attacking threat.
You say no attacking threat but....they should have scored 2 goals today, possibly 3 if it wasn't for Cooper.
Their first two chances were in the first half both Lincoln players totally unmarked one at the back post and the other chance towards the front post within the six yard box. Thankfully they fucked up with both headers.
It was 0-0 at this point. They score both and can you see us coming back from 2-0 down because I can't.

There won’t be a D Day until the end of the season. The priority is to stay up, nothing more. Then we have a fantastic opportunity for a complete squad rebuild next season under a new manager and, preferably, a DoF and revamped recruitment team. Plans should already be taking shape for that.
Admire your optimism but can you really see the club making these changes.
They need making no doubt about that we never seem to grasp the opportunities with both hands.

I know what you are saying, but there is no harm in hoping for better. Maybe new investment, if it arrives, could shift the dial.

As poor as Lincoln were we still managed to gift them 2 chances that they somehow put over the bar from a yard or so out.

We would have been punished for those by almost every other team in the league.
And what about Rothwell's open net? Both teams had good chances that they didn't take. We took three of ours. That's football.

Good win yesterday but the first half was as tedious as ever only tempered by a very good well worked goal at the end.

Second half certainly a little better but everyone around us who've had second tickets for yonks agree we're often incredibly boring to watch.

Of course. I'm just saying a better side would have taken at least one of those gilt edged chances. Chances that we seem to give most games...

I would also say it was more a functional performance, than an inspiring one… but we won 3-0, which was a much needed result.

Yes, Lincoln were poor and they had their chances, but so did we - and we took them.

It was also better than we’ve had to endure in the last few weeks, so hopefully we can kick from here.

I think the next two matches will tell us more about ourselves, especially the Bristol game. If we go back to poor performances and poor results then I get the feeling changes will take place.

With Rosen at the game again, plus Bettis’ comments in his interview and Wilder explicitly taking some responsibility for poor performances, I think he knows changes will be made if he can’t sort it out quickly. Perhaps this is what Wilder needed or perhaps I’ve read into this all wrong!

Hopefully lose next two👍
You were all over Shout box before the game dispensing your wisdom and predicting defeat. Needless to say, you were nowhere to be seen afterwards.

Eventually you reappeared, to give your view of a game you hadn’t watched to say that although we won, “everybody” said it was boring, which they didn’t, you made that up.

It's well known Cannon was signed by the new board and not Wilder. Bettis said as much just last week.

From the list of dross as you say many of those have done well like McCallum, Kitching, Phillips recently and in the past Choudhury, BBD who was excellent on Saturday, Campbell, and Jairo also have proved to be good signings. Rothwell shows signs he is finding form.

You forget that over twenty million went on players who haven't made the grade last summer bar Tangangs who has had a reasonable time with us this far but not justifying the outlay we spent. So our current budget is very much affected by last summer's failed transfer business meaning we have had to cut our cloth according this summer losing our best three players. Wilder has also said this regarding last seasons transfer business. There's also been the failed AI signings which added together have presumably cost us millions.

Ultimately you and others I debate with won't agree with me. I don't agree with you. I respect your opinion but I see little point containing further debate on it because we'll never agree.
